Skies are cloudy early on this Friday morning and there is some light rain falling in parts of the area. Temperatures are milder than the last few mornings with readings ranging from 56 in Clifton down to 50 at High Point. Winds are mainly calm or light southerly. The air quality is good with an index of 33.

A low pressure system will give us cloudy skies today with showers and possibly some thunderstorms today and tonight. High temperatures will be mainly in the 60s. Rainfall amounts will average about one inch.

Mostly cloudy on Saturday but it looks like most of the showers will be before 8 a.m. and we may see some clearing late in the day along with gusty winds.

Low pressure will then move off the New England coast and intensify on Sunday. Much cooler air with a gusty northwest wind to 35 knots can be expected along with partly sunny skies.

Mainly dry and gradually becoming milder through much of next week.

TUESDAY – OCT 24 – Sunny, highs in the mid 60s.

WEDNESDAY – OCT 25 – Mostly sunny, highs near 70.

THURSDAY – OCT 26 – Mostly sunny, highs near 70.
