Mostly sunny with record breaking high temperatures today! Continued unseasonably warm with more record highs expected Friday and Saturday! Not as warm with showers likely mainly Sunday afternoon through Monday! Much cooler on Halloween with a low chance of showers in the evening!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Thursday morning and temperatures are mild with readings ranging from 55 in Clifton down to 44 at Walpack and Pequest. Winds are calm or light southwesterly. The air quality is moderate with an index of 59.

High pressure off the southeast coast will give us a southwesterly flow of unseasonably warm air with record high temperatures likely. Skies will be mostly sunny.

More record breaking warmth expected to continue Friday and Saturday with highs on Friday near 80 and maybe the low 80s on Saturday.

A slow moving cold front will likely give us showers mainly Sunday afternoon through Monday. Temperatures will be lower with the clouds and precipitation, but still be above normal

Much cooler on Halloween and a weak disturbance may touch off some showers in the evening.

At this time Wednesday will be dry and quite chilly but some indications of a possible wave of low pressure that may develop, if that occurs there may be a cold rain or even some snow inland.

MONDAY – OCT 30 – Mostly cloudy with showers likely, highs in the mid 60s.

HALLOWEEN – OCT 31 – Mostly sunny and much cooler, highs in the low 50s, chance of showers at night.

WEDNESDAY – NOV 1 – Mostly sunny and chilly, highs only near 50.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Variable winds less than 5 knots, seas 2 feet.
