Skies are partly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and it is quite cool with temperatures ranging from 30 in Clifton down to 18 at Walpack, winds are from the north around 5-10 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 30.

A rather potent low pressure system will move into the area with skies becoming cloudy by late this morning and rain developing around 4 p.m. and continuing heavy at times until around 7 a.m. Gusty easterly winds will make the overnight rather miserable. Rainfall amounts will average 1-2 inches.

We will have clearing on Wednesday and it will be mild with highs approaching the 60 degree mark.

Thanksgiving Day will be dry and seasonably mild but a little breezy. A weak cold front will cross the area at night.

It now appears that Friday through the weekend will be dry with seasonably cool temperatures.

OUTLOOK: A gale warning has been posted effective between 6 p.m. this evening until 6 a.m. Wednesday morning; Small craft advisories expected to continue through Wednesday night; advisories still possible on Thursday; no advisories expected for Friday and Saturday.
