Skies are cloudy and there is some fog in some spots early on this Wednesday morning, some light rain is falling over western parts of New Jersey. Temperatures again are unseasonably mild with readings mostly in the low 40s. The winds are mainly calm. The air quality is unhealthy for sensitive groups with an index of 101.

A low pressure system will cause rain to develop this morning and remain light through the afternoon and then become heavy at times tonight into Thursday morning. Rainfall amounts will average 1-2 inches that may cause minor stream and river flooding.

Unsettled weather but remaining rather mild the rest of Thursday into Saturday morning with a chance of mainly light rain.

Dry weather is expected Saturday afternoon through New Year’s Day with temperatures a little above normal.
