Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures range from 51 in Clifton down to 47 at Basking Ridge. Winds are calm or light easterly. The air quality is good with an index of 43.

Today will be cooler after having the warmest day since last October 28th yesterday as we will have more clouds and an onshore wind. There is a chance of some light showers but most of the day will be dry.

A strong frontal system will give us showers, the heaviest of these showers will be from late Thursday afternoon through early Friday morning. Winds will increase from south and may gust to 40 mph.

The front will move through the area on Friday but there still may be some showers during the day, it will remain rather windy.

High pressure will then give us a dry weekend, temperatures will be near normal on Saturday and winds will continue to be brisk. Less wind and milder temperatures are likely on Sunday.

Continued mild early next week and we should stay mainly dry but a weak cold front may give us a slight chance of some light showers early Monday morning.

FRIDAY – APRIL 12 – Showers in the morning then becoming partly sunny with still a chance of a shower in the afternoon, windy with gusts to 35 mph. Highs in the mid 60s.

SATURDAY – APRIL 13 – Partly sunny and breezy highs near 60.

SUNDAY – APRIL 14 – Partly sunny, highs in the upper 60s.

MONDAY – APRIL 15 – Mostly cloudy, highs in the low 70s.
