Skies are partly cloudy early on this Saturday morning and temperatures are seasonably cool with readings ranging from 48 in Clifton down to 43 at Pequest and Basking Ridge. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is good with an index of 33.

High pressure will be moving off the New England coast today with a cool onshore flow. We should be dry during the day but a frontal system approaching from the west may cause some showers late tonight.

Sunday will be a quite cool day with cloudy skies. An onshore wind along with showers will keep high temperatures only in the 50s. Some scattered showers may persist into early Monday morning.

Much milder Monday and Tuesday as winds become more westerly, highs both days should be in the 70s.

Unsettled weather the rest of the week with a chance of showers Tuesday night through Friday as a stationary front will be near our area.

MONDAY – MAY 6 – Chance of a showers before 8 a.m. then remaining mostly cloudy and milder, highs in the mid 70s.

TUESDAY – MAY 7 – Partly sunny, highs in the upper 70s, chance of showers at night.

WEDNESDAY – MAY 8 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, highs in the upper 70s.

THURSDAY – MAY 9 – Mostly cloudy with showers likely, highs in the low 70s.
