Skies are cloudy early on this Sunday morning and there are some scattered showers in parts of the area. Temperatures range from 47 in Clifton down to 41 at High Point. Winds are mainly from the east averaging 5-10 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 33.

A frontal system will be moving into our area today, there may be a brief break in the rain this morning but more frequent periods of rain is likely this afternoon into tonight. With the clouds, rain, and onshore wind, high temperatures will only be in the 50s.
High pressure will then build into the area on Monday and it will be noticeable warmer with highs well up into the 70s, despite having mostly cloudy skies.
Tuesday looks to be a mostly sunny and warm day with highs again well up into the 70s.
Another frontal system will likely give us showers on Wednesday with a few thunderstorms possible, temperatures will continue to be warm with highs near 80.
Unsettled weather with showers at times along with cooler temperatures Thursday through next weekend as a weak front will be to our south with low pressure disturbances moving along this front.
