Skies are mostly clear early on this Monday morning and temperatures range from 49 in Clifton down to chilly 32 at Sandyston. Winds are calm or light southwesterly. The air quality is good with an index of 36.

A high pressure ridge will give us a brisk southwesterly flow of milder air today along with sunny skies.

The brisk southwesterly flow will continue on Tuesday and high temperatures will rise into the 80s.

A slow moving cold front with low pressure disturbances along the front will give us periods of well needed rain Wednesday through Thursday.

High pressure will then build into the area for Friday with mostly sunny skies and cooler than normal temperatures.

This upcoming weekend should have temperatures at or slightly below normal and a weak disturbance will give us a low chance of showers on Saturday.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, lows in the upper 50s.

TUESDAY – MAY 5 – Sunny, breezy and warm, highs in the low 80s, wind gusts to 30 mph.

WEDNESDAY – MAY 6 – Rain, breezy and not as warm, highs near 70, wind gusts to 25 mph.

THURSDAY – MAY 7 – Mostly cloudy with showers likely, cooler, highs in the low 60s.

FRIDAY – MAY 8 – Sunny and cool, highs in the low 60s.

SATURDAY – MAY 9 – Mostly sunny with a chance of a shower, highs in the mid 60s.

SUNDAY – MAY 10 – Mostly sunny, highs near 70.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory will be in effect from 11 a.m this morning through 6 p.m. Wednesday afternoon for southerly winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 5-8 feet.

OUTLOOK: Advisories possible continuing Wednesday night through the day on Thursday; no advisories expected Thursday night through Friday.
