Skies are mostly cloudy to cloudy early on this Sunday morning and temperatures range from 44 in Clifton down to 34 at High Point. Winds are from the north-northwest averaging 5-10 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 30.

High pressure building from the Tennessee Valley will give us a brisk northwest flow of cool air. High temperatures will struggle to reach 60 degrees despite plenty of sunshine.

As the high moves offshore we will have a brisk southwesterly flow of air. High temperatures should reach the low 70s on Monday then the low 80s on Tuesday.

A slow moving frontal system is expected to give us showers possibly heavy at times Wednesday through Thursday evening. Highs on Wednesday should be in the low 70s and in the 60s on Thursday.

High pressure will then build into the area on Friday giving us cool temperatures.

Continued cool on Saturday and a weak disturbance will give us a low chance of showers.
