Good morning everyone!

Skies are cloudy early on this Thursday morning and there is still some lingering light rain falling in parts of the area. Temperatures range from 47 in Clifton down to 41 at High Point. Winds are from the northwest averaging between 5-10 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 28.

The cold front that cause the light rain yesterday afternoon through the overnight is moving offshore and high pressure will build over the area. Cloudy skies this morning will give way to mostly sunny skies this afternoon. High temperatures will be slightly below normal.

High pressure will then control our weather for Friday giving us plenty of sunshine but it will be a bit breezy and temperatures will continue to be a little below normal.

A weak disturbance will give us mainly light rain on Saturday, temperatures will continue to be cool.

A very nice Mother’s Day is expected with plenty of sunshine and temperatures rising to well up into the 70s. There will be a chance of showers late at night.

Cooler with showers continuing into Monday afternoon as another disturbance moves through the area.

Dry and seasonably cool on Tuesday but another area of low pressure may give us more showers on Wednesday.
