Skies are mostly clear early on this Saturday morning and temperatures are quite mild with readings ranging from 72 in Clifton down to a cool 51 at Walpack. Winds are calm or light southwesterly. The air quality is moderate with an index of 64.

High pressure off the southeast coast will give us a brisk west-southwest flow of hot air again today, the humidity will only be in the 50s during the day then rise to the 60s tonight as a cold front approaches our area. Some strong to severe thunderstorms are possible tonight as the cold front moves through the area.

Sunday will be a mostly sunny, breezy and warm day with dew points falling back into the 50s.

High pressure moving into the area for early next week giving us dry conditions and warm temperatures.

Hot and increasingly humid weather is likely Wednesday through at least the end of next week as the high pressure moves off the coast. There will be a chance of some afternoon or evening showers each day.

MONDAY – JUNE 8 – Sunny, highs near 80.

TUESDAY – JUNE 9 – Sunny, highs in the upper 80s.

WEDNESDAY – JUNE 10 – Mostly sunny and more humid with a chance of afternoon and evening showers, highs in the upper 80s.

THURSDAY – JUNE 11 – Partly sunny, hot and humid, with a chance of afternoon and evening showers, highs near 90.

FRIDAY – JUNE 12 – Mostly sunny, hot and humid with a chance of afternoon and evening showers, highs in the low 90s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory will be in effect from 2 p.m this afternoon through 6 a.m. Sunday morning for southwest winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 3-5 feet. Belmar’s ocean temperature is 62 degrees.

OUTLOOK: No advisories expected Sunday through Wednesday.
