Some showers early this morning then becoming partly sunny, breezy and cool today! Showers and cool on Saturday! Mostly sunny and quite mild on Mother’s Day! Below normal temperatures much of next week with showers on Monday and a chance of more showers Wednesday afternoon into Thursday!

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Friday morning and there are some light showers moving through the area. Temperatures range from 45 in Clifton down to 37 at High Point. Winds are mainly from the north averaging 5-10 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 30.

An area of showers will move through early this morning and during the day we should stay mostly cloudy and it will be breezy and cool. There will be a slight chance of sprinkles this evening but most areas will remain dry.

Showers are expected for Saturday as a warm front approaches our area, temperatures will continue to be below normal.

A warmer and pleasant Mother’s Day is expected as high pressure gives us a southwesterly flow of air, high temperatures should rise to well up into the 70s.

A frontal system moving into the area on Monday will give us more showers that should end by late in the afternoon, it will be cooler with highs only near 60.

The cool weather should continue through the end of the week with a chance of more showers Wednesday afternoon into Thursday.

SUNDAY – MAY 10 – Partly sunny and warmer, highs in the mid 70s, showers later at night.

MONDAY – MAY 11 – Cloudy with showers mainly before 2 p.m., highs near 60.

TUESDAY – MAY 12 – Sunny, highs in the mid 60s.

WEDNESDAY – MAY 13 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers in the afternoon, highs in the low 60s, good chance of evening showers.

THURSDAY – MAY 14 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, highs in the mid 60s.

OUTLOOK: A small craft advisory will be in effect from 10 a.m. Saturday morning through midnight Saturday night; no advisories expected Sunday through Tuesday.
