A rather potent low pressure system will give us showers and thunderstorms today. The showers will develop later this morning becoming heavy at times this afternoon and tonight. Some severe thunderstorms are possible as a warm front will be in our area. A brief tornado cannot be ruled out also. Rainfall rates may reach 1-2 inches per hour in some so a flash flood watch is in effect. With the clouds and rain high temperatures will be lower today but the humidity will increase with dew points rising to the upper 60s.
Still some showers possible on Tuesday as the low pressure system moves slowly off the coast.
Weak high pressure will give us dry weather Wednesday through the day on Thursday. Temperatures will be near normal.
Another frontal system will likely give us showers late Thursday night into Friday.
At this time the weekend looks dry as the low pressure system moves offshore and high pressure builds into our area. Temperatures will be seasonably warm.
