High pressure building over the area will give us mostly sunny skies both today and again on Tuesday. High temperatures both days will be well up into the 80s. The humidity will be moderate with dew points in the mid 60s. Winds will be light.
Extreme heat is expected Wednesday through Friday as a dome of high pressure will be over the area. High temperatures all three days will be near 100 and with dew points rising to the low 70s will cause heat indexes to reach 110 degrees at times. An extreme heat watch is in effect.
The ridge will break down for the weekend and temperatures will be lower but it still will be quite hot and humid. Also there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms both days.
