Cooler and mainly dry weather through early next week! Significant rain possible Wednesday night into Thursday!


A cold front crossed the area around midnight with cooler air now filtering into our area, temperatures have dropped to near 50 in the Clifton area to around 40 further inland, skies are mostly clear and there is a brisk northerly wind.

Today will be much cooler with highs around 15 degrees lower than on Thursday, highs will be around 60 degrees which is a little below normal for this time of year, it will be breezy especially this morning, skies will be sunny.

We should see an increase in clouds on Saturday and it will continue to be cool.

Another cold front will be crossing the area on Sunday giving us a chance of some light showers falling mainly in the morning.

Plenty of sunshine with near seasonable temperatures Monday and Tuesday.

Rain is likely from Wednesday night into Thursday and may give our area our first significant rainfall event since the beginning of October, some of this precipitation may be from the remnants of intense hurricane Patricia which is now heading to the west coast of Mexico.

Hurricane Patricia is now one of the most intense cyclones ever reported on earth with sustained winds of 200 mph, the storm is heading to the western Mexican coast and will hit just south of Puerto Vallarta later this afternoon.

 

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – Sunny and breezy, high near 60.

TONIGHT – Clear, low in the upper 30s.

SATURDAY – Increasing cloudiness, high in the upper 50s.

SUNDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of a light shower before 3 p.m., high in the mid 60s.

MONDAY – Mostly sunny, high near 60.

TUESDAY – Sunny, high near 60.

WEDNESDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of afternoon rain, high in the low 60s, rain likely at night.

THURSDAY – Cloudy with rain likely, high in the mid 60s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  Small craft advisory is in effect till 11 a.m. this morning for northerly winds gusting to 25 mph, seas 3-4 feet, winds and seas lowering this afternoon.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Saturday into the day on Sunday, possible small craft advisory conditions Sunday night through Tuesday.
