Skies are cloudy early on this Saturday morning and temperatures are on the mild side ranging from the upper 30s here in Clifton to the low 30s in some inland areas, winds are light.  The winter weather advisory that was issued yesterday was cancelled for much of the area for this morning as most temperatures are at or above freezing.

Today will be a cloudy and mild day, temperatures will reach well up into the 40s despite the cloud cover.

A low pressure system will move into the area tonight with light rain developing tonight becoming steady and heavier by Sunday morning with even a chance of a rumble of thunder, temperatures will approach record highs during the day on Sunday as we should hit close to the 60 degree mark.  A cold front will cross the area late in the day ending the rain and it will become much colder at night.

Monday will be a cold day with plenty of sunshine.

Slightly milder during the day on Tuesday but another cold front will cross the area at night with snow showers possible.

Snow showers may persist until Wednesday morning with quite cold and windy conditions.

Cold and dry weather is expected Thursday and Friday.

TODAY – Cloudy, high in the upper 40s.

TONIGHT – Cloudy with rain developing, mild with lows in the low 40s.

SUNDAY – Rain heavy at times with a slight chance of a thunderstorm, very mild with highs near 60.  Clearing and much colder at night.

MONDAY – Sunny and cold, high in the mid 30s.

TUESDAY – Partly sunny, high in the low 40s, chance of snow showers late at night.

WEDNESDAY – Partly sunny with a chance of morning snow showers, windy and much colder, high in the low 30s.

THURSDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the low 30s.

FRIDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 30s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – Small craft advisory is in effect for east winds gusting to 20 knots, seas building to 4-5 feet.

OUTLOOK – Gale warning will be in effect from 5 a.m on Sunday till 6 a.m. on Monday.  Small craft advisories likely during the day on Monday into Tuesday with gale warnings possible on Wednesday.
