Quite warm and humid today with a chance of showers and thunderstorms! Not as warm but staying humid Thursday and Friday with showers again possible! Dry and less humid weather for the weekend!

Good morning!

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and it is quite warm and humid with temperatures ranging from the upper 70s in Clifton down to near 70 further inland. There are some light showers in parts of the area. The humidity is high with dew points in the oppressive mid 70s.

CLIFTON’S WEATHER ALMANAC FOR AUGUST 12TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 84 AVERAGE LOW: 65

RECORD HIGH: 97 – 2005 RECORD LOW: 54 – 1979

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 91 LOW: 74 PRECIPITATION: NONE

A slow moving cold front will move into our area today which will give our area a chance of showers and thunderstorms. The showers will be slow moving so there is a chance of heavy rain in some of the storms. Temperatures again will be quite warm and the humidity will continue to be high with dew points remaining in the 70s.

The front will only push just south of our region Thursday and Friday with showers again possible. With more clouds and an onshore wind temperatures will be lower than today with somewhat lower humidity as dew points drop into the upper 60s.

The weekend looks good as high pressure builds into the area from the north giving our area dry conditions with temperatures at or slightly below seasonable levels.

Mainly dry weather early next week with continued near seasonable temperatures.
