Skies have become cloudy early on this Thursday morning and temperatures range from the low 40s in Clifton down to the low 30s further inland, winds are light southwesterly.

NOTE – On this day in 2012 a week after Hurricane Sandy we received 4.2 inches of snow.

A cold front will cross the area this evening preceded by seasonably mild air during the day, rain from the front will move into our area late this afternoon and may end with a couple of flurries around midnight. Further inland across northwest New Jersey and the Pocono may pick up a dusting of snow mainly over the higher elevations.

Much colder air with breezy conditions on Friday with temperatures well below normal, skies will be mostly sunny. Overnight lows Friday night will drop to well down into the 20s.

Dry weather is expected for the weekend, Saturday will be cold but Sunday will be milder.

Another stronger cold front will move into the area on Monday night with a chance of rain changing to snow on Tuesday as colder air moves into our area. Too early for details on possible snow accumulations in our area.

Even colder air will dominate our weather Wednesday into Thursday.

High pressure over our area will give us mostly sunny skies with high temperatures a little cooler than yesterday.

A cold front will cross the area Thursday night preceded by some rain late in the day possibly ending as snow over the higher elevations well inland.

Dry weather returns for Friday but it will be windy and much colder, highs will only be in the low 40s and temperatures Saturday morning will be well down into the 20s.

Dry weather is expected over the weekend, it will be chilly again on Saturday but milder on Sunday.

Another stronger frontal system may give us some snow early next week.

Today will be a mild day but a weak cold front crossing our area may cause some light showers during the day but most of the rain will be east of our area.

High pressure will build into the area on Wednesday and it will be a mostly sunny day with cooler temperatures.

A stronger front will likely give us rain late Thursday possibly mixing with a little snow before ending around midnight, little or no accumulation is expected in our area but a dusting is possible further inland.

Much colder air will move into the area Friday into Saturday with fair weather, temperature Saturday morning should drop into the 20s with some teens further inland.
