High pressure will be moving off the coast as a weak disturbance approaches from the west. Today will start off sunny but we will have an increase in clouds this afternoon with some overnight light showers likely, rainfall amounts will be less than a tenth of an inch.

Skies will clear out on Monday and it will be another mild day with highs in the 70s.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be cooler with only a slight chance of a shower on Tuesday.

Dry weather with warmer temperatures Thursday through at least the start of next weekend.

The upper low pressure that has been giving us the cloudy and cool conditions this past week is finally moving offshore and we should see more in the way of sunshine today, but there is still a chance of some afternoon showers. Highs will be in the low 60s which is still slightly below normal.

For once it looks like we will finally have a dry weekend with milder temperatures and plenty of sunshine. Highs will be near 70 on Saturday and in the mid 70s for Sunday.

During the day on Monday we will have plenty of sunshine again along with continued mild temperatures, but a weak frontal system may touch off some showers Monday night into Tuesday.

Dry weather is likely Wednesday through the end of the week with seasonably mild temperatures.

CLIFTON’S CLIMATE SUMMARY FOR APRIL 2023 RECORD GO BACK TO 1973.

From wildfires through the middle of the month, then floods at the end of the month.

April’s average temperature was 56.3 degrees and was nearly 5 degrees above normal and was the 3rd warmest April. The high temperature was 94 degrees on the 14th which tied the highest April temperature on record. The lowest temperature was 32 degrees on the 3rd.

Precipitation totaled 8.31″ which was the second wettest April on record. Most of the rainfall occurred after the 22nd.

No snowfall was recorded.
