Low pressure will be moving offshore this morning and the steady rain should end by noon but the afternoon will remain cloudy and cool with a chance of some drizzle.

After a short break rain will return on Thursday as another low pressure system moves through the area. Rain should develop around 8 a.m. and possibly become heavy at times in the afternoon and evening with a chance of some thunderstorms. Rainfall amounts will be near 1 inch.

Friday looks to be dry with somewhat milder temperatures as a weak high pressure moves through the area.

The weekend looks mainly dry with near seasonable temperatures with only a low chance of an afternoon shower on Saturday.

A warming trend with mainly dry conditions next week. High temperatures will be in the 60s on Monday and rise to near 70 Tuesday through at least Thursday.

Today will be a mostly cloudy to cloudy day with temperatures at or slightly below normal. A low pressure system will give our area rain mainly from late tonight into Wednesday morning with about an inch of rain expected.

After a brief break in the rain Wednesday afternoon into Thursday morning another low pressure system will give us more rain mainly Thursday afternoon and night. Another inch of rain is likely.

An upper air low pressure trough will continue to give us a chance of mainly afternoon showers Friday and Saturday followed by a dry Saturday. High temperatures Wednesday through the weekend expect to be near or slightly below normal except for Friday when temperatures will be a slightly above normal.

A warming trend is likely next week.

After a chilly damp day with even some snow in the higher elevations across the northwest part of the state today will be a dry and milder day. Gusty winds this morning will slowly diminish this afternoon. Weak high pressure will dominate our weather today. Skies will start off mostly clear but we should have some increase in clouds this afternoon.

Most of Tuesday will be dry but the first in a series of low pressure will give us rain Tuesday night into Wednesday.

After a brief break in the rain Wednesday night into Thursday morning another low pressure will move into our area causing more rain Thursday afternoon through early Friday morning.

Friday and Saturday look mainly dry but there still will be a chance of showers both days as an upper level trough will be over our area.

Sunday looks to be dry. Temperatures Tuesday through the weekend will be near seasonable levels with Friday being our mildest day.

A significant change in the pattern should give us well above normal temperatures much of next week.

A weak low pressure will give us some light rain mainly from 8 a.m. till 4 p.m. With the clouds and precipitation, high temperatures will be slightly lower than yesterday with highs near 50.

Weak high pressure will give us rather nice weather Monday into the first half of Tuesday, temperatures will be close to normal.

A couple of low pressure systems will affect our weather Tuesday night through Friday and the best chances of heavier rain will be on Wednesday and again Thursday afternoon and night. Total rainfall with these systems will be around 2-3 inches.

Fair weather with near normal tempertures can be expected to start next weekend.

CLIFTON’S CLIMATE SUMMARY FOR MARCH 2022.

Despite the very cold weather at the end of this month, March actually averaged above normal with an average temperature of 43.7 degrees. The highest temperature was 76 degrees on the 18th with the lowest temperature was 17 on the 4th.

Precipitation was below normal with 2.56″

Snowfall was also below normal with 3.5″ accumulated.
