Skies are cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and most of the rain that fell overnight has moved to our east. Temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 52 in Clifton down to 48 at Vernon, winds are mainly calm.

The warm front that was expected to move to our south will struggle to reach our area today so high temperatures that was expected to be near 80 today will struggle to reach the low 70s. Most of the day will be dry but another area of rain is expected late in the day continuing through tonight.

Showers and possibly some thunderstorms will continue most of Wednesday as a cold front slowly moves through the area.

High pressure will cause some sunshine on Thursday but it will be cool.

Slightly cooler than normal temperatures can be expected Friday through the weekend, some rain is possible on Friday and again on Sunday.

A weak cold front dropped through last night bringing in a cooler northerly flow. This front will stay just to our south today causing a weak onshore flow and with cloudy skies high temperatures will be lower than yesterday. Also there will be a chance of showers this afternoon with showers and possible some thunderstorms likely tonight.

The front will move to our north on Tuesday and we should see some sunshine with warmer temperatures but another cold front approaching from the west will likely give us more showers and thunderstorms late in the day and at night.

The front will move through our area on Wednesday with showers and possibly a thunderstorm.

Thursday looks to be a dry day but with cooler temperatures.

A coastal low is expected to develop well out to sea on Friday but close enough to give us a low chance of rain along with cool temperatures.

At this point the weekend looks to be mainly dry with temperatures a little below normal.

High pressure offshore will give us a southwesterly flow of warm air today with partly sunny skies, highs will rise to the low 80s by this afternoon.

Monday will be slightly cooler as a front will be in our area causing more clouds and also a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon through Tuesday morning.

Tuesday looks to be a warm and humid day with a chance of showers and thunderstorms as a cold front approaches our area.

Wednesday will not be as warm and showers are likely as the cold front moves offshore.

Cooler weather is expected Thursday into the weekend. Thursday should be dry but a potential storm offshore may give us rain Friday into Saturday.

Low pressure over the Canadian Maritimes and high pressure building from the southwest will give us a brisk northwest flow of seasonably cool air today. Winds will gust to 30 mph mainly this morning and diminish this afternoon.

A southwest flow of warmer air will move into the area on Sunday and with mostly sunny skies high temperatures will be in the 80s.

Unsettled weather much of next week with showers possible Monday and Tuesday, and showers most likely on Wednesday. Dry weather is expected for Thursday but a possible coastal low may give us rain on Friday. Temperatures will be milder than normal Monday and Tuesday, near normal Wednesday and Thursday then below normal on Friday.

Yesterday we had much less rain than expected with only mainly sprinkles falling here but heavier showers were across areas well to our north and west and also along the Jersey shore.

Today we should see clearing this morning and it will be mostly sunny, cooler and much less humid as low pressure moves to the Canadian Maritimes and high pressure builds in from the west. The pressure gradient between these systems will cause strong winds possibly gusting to 50 mph, especially this afternoon and this evening. A wind advisory is in effect and there may be some downed trees or tree limbs that can cause scattered power outages.

This weekend will be dry, temperatures will be cool on Saturday but become warmer on Sunday.

Unsettled weather is expected Monday through Wednesday with a good chance of showers. Temperatures will be above normal Monday and Tuesday and near normal on Wednesday.

Clearing with near normal temperatures is expected on Thursday.,
