Skies have becoming mostly clear early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures are mild for this time of year with readings ranging from the low 60s in Clifton down to the mid 50s further inland, humidity remains high and the winds are mainly calm

After last night’s thunderstorms, conditions will be much more tranquil today as weak high pressure builds into the area, temperatures will remain warm with plenty of sunshine but the humidity will drop with dew points dropping into the 50s.

Tomorrow will be warm and mainly dry during the day but a weak cold front may touch of a shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon.

High pressure will then build in from the north for Friday, and Saturday it will be cooler with an onshore flow.

The cool spell will be short lived as a return southwest flow will bring warmer air into the region on Sunday with warm and dry weather to continue into at least the middle of next week.

Warm and humid today with some strong thunderstorms possible late this afternoon into the evening!

Skies are mostly cloudy early this morning and it is warmer than the last few mornings with temperatures ranging from the mid 60s in Clifton down to the upper 50s further inland.  The humidity is high and there is again some patchy fog across some of the inland valleys.

Today we will have a mix of clouds and sunshine it will be warm and humid with highs approaching 80 and dew points in the upper 60s.  A cold front approaching the area from the northwest will cause some shower and thunderstorm activity later this afternoon and into this evening, some of these storms may be strong to severe with strong gusty winds and heavy rain.

Tomorrow will be warm but less humid as weak high pressure builds into the area.

Warm weather with increasing humidity on Thursday.

Cooler weather Friday and Saturday with an onshore flow but we should stay dry.

Warmer again Sunday into at least early next week.

CLIFTON’S CLIMATE SUMMARY FOR SEPTEMBER 2018.

Temperatures average 3.0 degrees above normal   Highest temperature 96 degrees on the 6th, lowest temperature was 51 degrees recorded on the 10th.  It was the 4th warmest September, my records go back to 1973.

Precipitation was above normal with 6.53″ falling.  The greatest rainfall was on the 25th when 2.82″ fell.  It was the 7th wettest September.

Overall this past September was unseasonably humid and rather cloudy.

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Monday morning and again there is some patchy fog in some inland valleys, temperatures range from the upper 50s in Clifton down to near 50 further inland, the humidity is high and the winds are mainly calm.

High pressure building into the area will give us a warmer day today along with partly sunny skies, the humidity will start to increase with dew points rising to the mid 60s.

A weak cold front will approach the area on Tuesday which will likely cause some shower and thunderstorms  in the afternoon and evening.

The front will wash away on Wednesday and high pressure will again build into the area and with plenty of sunshine high temperatures  Wednesday and Thursday will be near record levels with readings in the 80s.

Slightly cooler with an onshore flow Friday and Saturday but we should continue to remain dry.

Warmer weather returns for Sunday along with continued dry conditions.

Today will be another nice day with partly sunny skies and pleasantly mild temperatures as high pressure builds into the area, high temperatures may be a couple of degrees lower than what was recorded on Saturday.

Most of this coming week will be warmer than normal with only a low chance of showers Tuesday afternoon and evening and again Friday into Saturday as a couple of weak fronts move into the area.  High temperatures each day will be in the upper 70s to near 80 which is about 10 degrees higher than normal.  Humidity levels will increase also with dew points mainly in the 60s.
