Nice summer days today and on Friday with warm temperatures and less humidity! Unsettled weather over the weekend into early next week!

Good morning everyone!

Skies are mostly cloudy early this morning and once again it is muggy and warm with temperatures ranging from the mid 70s in the Clifton area down to the upper 60s further inland, winds are mainly calm and the humidity is high with most dew points in the oppressive low 70s.    Here in Clifton we had a thunderstorm around 1:30 this morning that dumped a quick .74 inches of rain.

A cold front will cross the area today followed by a gradual decrease in humidity, it will still be quite warm with temperatures reaching close to 90 degrees but the dew points will fall into the 60s after being in the 70s much of the last several days.

Another nice day on Friday with warm temperatures and moderate humidity levels.

Unsettled weather this weekend as a front will be moving slowly into our area.   There will be a good chance of showers and thunderstorms both days along with considerable cloudiness.  High temperatures on Saturday may not rise out of the 70s and be in the low to mid 80s on Sunday.   The humidity will once again rise with dew points near 70.

Chances of showers and thunderstorms will continue early next week along with high humidity as a trough will continue to be over the area.

Good morning everyone!

Skies are mostly clear early this morning and temperatures range from the low 70s in the Clifton area down to the upper 60s in some spot further inland.  Humidity remains high with dew points still in oppressive low 70s, winds are mainly calm.    Yesterday I recorded .92 inches of rain in a heavy thunderstorm between 6-7 p.m.

High pressure will be moving off the coast today as a cold front approaches from the northwest.  Another hot and humid day with temperatures approaching the low 90s and with dew points still in the 70s will again cause heat indexes to be near 100 degrees.   Thunderstorms are likely this afternoon and evening with some heavy downpours and strong gusty winds possible.

The front crosses the area tomorrow morning and although it will be quite warm the humidity will drop by the afternoon as dew points fall into the low to mid 60s.  Friday will be a nice day with warm temperatures and rather comfortable humidity.

Unsettled weather returns for the weekend into early next week as a front will be in the area.  There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms each day mainly in the afternoon and evening hours.  Temperatures will be warm but not hot as there will be considerable cloudiness.  Humidity levels will rise once again with dew points near 70.
