Skies are cloudy across the area early on this Thursday morning and temperatures range from the low 30s in the Clifton area to the mid 20s further inland, some flurries are falling mainly over the Poconos into parts of northwest New Jersey, winds are mainly calm.

Today a weak cold front will cross the area only giving us a very slight chance of a shower, temperatures will rise into the 40s.

Dry and seasonably mild on Friday as high pressure build into the area.

A low pressure disturbance will likely give us some rain on Saturday mainly falling from mid morning into mid afternoon, the rain may start as a mixture of freezing rain, sleet and snow at the beginning.

Christmas Eve night and Christmas Day will be pleasantly dry with above normal temperatures.

There will be a chance of light rain Monday night.

Latest model guidance is showing a return to colder weather at the end of next week.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures range from the mid 20s here in Clifton to the mid teens further inland, these readings are around ten degrees higher than this time yesterday.

Winter began at 5:44 a.m. this morning but today will be a milder day with plenty of sunshine and temperatures reaching the 40s and along with light winds it will be a rather nice day for Christmas shopping.

A weak cold front will cross the area on Thursday with some cloudiness and only a slight chance of a shower.

Dry weather for Friday as high pressure builds into the area.

Another front will give us a good chance of showers on Saturday possibly beginning as a mix inland.

Christmas Day should be pleasant with dry conditions and temperatures continue to be above normal.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures are very cold ranging from the mid teens in the Clifton area to many single digit readings further inland, the lowest temperature reported was 1 degree at Walpack in Sussex County, winds are light northerly.

Today we will have plenty of sunshine along with moderating temperatures as high temperatures will be about ten degrees higher than yesterday, winds will be light as high pressure is over the area.

Mainly dry with above normal temperatures Wednesday through Christmas Day with only a 20% chance of precipitation on Thursday and again on Saturday evening;  high temperature during this period will be mainly in the mid-upper 40s.

A better chance of rain will be on Monday as a frontal system approaches the area from the west.

Mainly above normal temperatures should persist through the end of this month.

We have mostly cloudy skies early on this Monday morning and temperatures have fallen to the low 20s here in Clifton to some mid teens further inland, winds are gusty out of the northwest.

A very strong high pressure area extends into our area from the middle of the country which will cause mostly fair and cold day today, however winds will be lighter as the day goes on, temperatures will struggle to reach the freezing mark.

After a cold Tuesday morning temperatures will moderate somewhat during the afternoon, skies will remain mostly fair and winds will be light.

Continued dry with milder temperatures on Wednesday.

The next chance of precipitation is with a cold front on Thursday, there will be a chance of mainly rain showers but may be mixed with sleet and freezing rain well inland.

Mainly dry with above normal temperatures Friday through Christmas Day but there will be a chance of rain late on Christmas night.

Skies are cloudy in the Clifton area with some dense fog early on this Sunday morning, there have been some showers in the area with even a rumble of thunder, temperatures are rising and are near 40 in Clifton to the low 30s further inland, winds are light southwesterly.

A cold front is approaching the area from the west, showers with this front will move into the region this morning, temperatures should rise to the 50s by noontime.  After the frontal passage we will dry out but it will become much colder with temperatures falling to the low 40s by sunset and into the 20s by daybreak on Monday, there should be enough of a break between the rain and the colder air moving into the area to prevent a flash freeze but some black ice is possible late tonight especially inland.

Cold and dry Monday, temperatures on Tuesday will recover to near normal after a chilly morning, above normal temperatures by Wednesday with continued dry conditions.

The next chance of precipitation will be on Thursday with most falling as rain although it may briefly start as freezing rain or sleet well inland.

Above normal temperatures are likely to continue Friday through Christmas Day with mainly dry conditions.
