With cloudy skies temperatures early this morning are near 50 degrees in the Clifton area to the 40s inland.
Rain is moving north and has reached Central New Jersey early this morning and should move into the northern part of the state by noontime. A coastal low pressure off of the North Carolina coast will move slowly north with rain continuing into Saturday morning, daytime highs will only be in the low to mid 60s.
Expect 1-2″ of rain through Saturday with higher amounts to our south. Persistent northeast wind which will be higher right along the coast. Minor coastal flooding is expected.
Hopefully high pressure will build closer to the area on Sunday ending the rain threat.
Drier early next week with slightly milder temperatures.
Next chance of rain will be on Wednesday as a frontal system approaches our area from the west.

Temperatures early this morning are in the upper 40s in the Clifton area to around 40 well inland, skies are partly cloudy.
Today will remain partly cloudy with near seasonable temperatures, highs mostly in the upper 60s.
High pressure will be moving off the New England coast as a low pressure slowly moves northward from off the Carolina coast, this low will bring rain into the area on Thursday that will extend into Friday.
Rainfall is expected to be heaviest to our south and lighter to our north..
Hopefully the high pressure will keep the rain to our south over the weekend but the pesky low pressure may try to give us more rain early next week.
The persistent northeast flow will keep daytime highs lower than normal while overnight lows with be slightly above normal.
Minor coastal flooding is likely for our shore areas.

With partly cloudy skies early morning temperatures have fallen to a more seasonable levels with readings near 50 degrees in Clifton and the 40s inland.
Quiet weather today as the strong cold front has moved offshore. That front caused some brief damaging wind gusts in our area with even a funnel cloud reported over Paterson.
Dry weather will continue into Wednesday with seasonable temperatures.
A low pressure that is actually the remains of Tropical Storm Karen off the southeast coast will move slowly northward giving our area chances of rain from Thursday into Saturday, winds will be brisk out of the northeast during this time frame, high temperatures will be below normal but lows will be slightly above normal.
Dry with seasonable temperatures later in the weekend into early next week.

It is still a little foggy or foogy this morning with temperatures in the upper 60s along with high humidity.
Yesterday the warm front stayed south of us as we had cool marine air and readings in the 60s while Southern New Jersey were in the 80s.
The warm front has passed to our north and today will be a rather warm and humid day and although there will be considerable cloudiness there also may be some breaks of sun..
The cold front will cross the area around 9pm preceded by showers and thunderstorms, it will become windy. Some storms may be quite strong to severe with heavy rain and gusty winds. Best chances of these strong storms will be between 3pm and 9pm today.
Following the front cooler and much less humid air will move into our area by morning and Tuesday should be a sunny day with near normal temperatures.
Fair with seasonable temperatures on Wednesday.
It now appears that a low pressure system will be just offshore later in the week that may give us some showers from Thursday through next weekend. Temperatures will remain near normal.

Outlook – Brief period of below advisory level conditions later on Tuesday but advisories may be needed later Wednesday through the weekend as the gradient between the low pressure off the southeast coast along with high pressure off New England give area a strengthening northeast wind.

At 6am this morning we have cloudy and foggy conditions with some drizzle around, it is mild for this time of year with overnight lows in the mid 60s.
A front will stay just to our south today with an onshore flow of humid air, some sunshine should break through this afternoon with high temperatures in our area in the mid 70s but south of the front across Southern New Jersey readings will be in the mid 80s.
On Monday a cold front will be approaching from the west with showers and some thunderstorms likely by the afternoon and extend into the evening, some moisture my also come up from Karen that has been downgraded to a tropical depression. We can pick up 1-2 inches of much needed rain.
The front will be offshore on Tuesday with clearing, cooler and much less humid air.
Dry weather should extend from Wednesday into next weekend as high pressure builds down from the New England region, temperatures will be near or slightly above normal for this time of year.
