Sunny day, sweeping the clouds away!


The cold front that helped produce some heavy rain in thunderstorms yesterday has moved offshore, cooler and much drier air has followed the front and after some cloudiness early this morning it will become sunny with high temperatures around 80.
After having nearly 13 inches of rain since May 8th it appears that we will enjoy several days of dry weather. with the next chance of rain will be early next week and that will be only with some scattered afternoon thunderstorms.
High temperatures will slowly rise as we head into this weekend and this summer type pattern will extend into next week.

The forecast: Today – Sunny after early cloudiness, high near 80.
Tonight: Clear and cool, low in the mid 50s.
Thursday – Sunny, high near 80.
Friday – Sunny, high in the low 80s.
Saturday – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 80s.
Sunday – Partly sunny, high in the upper 80s.
Monday – Partly sunny with a chance of an afternoon or evening shower and thunderstorm, high in the upper 80s.
Tuesday – Partly sunny with a chance of an afternoon or evening shower and thunderstorm, high in the upper 80s.

Marine Forecast: Today – North wind to 13 knots, seas up to 3 feet.
Outlook – Sub-advisory level condition through early next week.

More clouds today with showers likely this afternoon and evening!


At daybreak this morning we have partly cloudy skies, overnight lows were in the low-mid 60s in the Clifton area to the upper 50s inland..
A cold front approaching from the northwest will cause clouds to increase as the day goes on with showers likely this afternoon and evening along with a chance of a couple of strong thunderstorms.
High temperatures will be a few degrees lower than yesterday topping out in the lower 80s, it will be moderately humid..
Clearing on Wednesday and it will be cooler and less humid.
Excellent weather for Thursday and Friday with plenty of sunshine and with seasonably warm temperatures.
A warming trend starting this weekend and extending to at least the early part of next week, it will also become more humid with shower chances increasing for Sunday and next Monday.

Mostly sunny and warm weather to start the work week!


A mild start to the day as overnight lows dropped only to the mid 60s in the Clifton area to the upper 50s inland. Today will feature plenty of sunshine with warm temperatures reaching the upper 80s. A chance of a thunderstorm this evening but most areas will remain dry.
More clouds on Tuesday and Tuesday night with chance of showers and thunderstorms as a weak cold front slowly moves through the area..
Cooler weather on Wednesday as high pressure builds in from the northwest, we should have mostly sunny skies but southern New Jersey may have more clouds as the cold front will be only slowly sagging southward.
Very nice weather for Thursday and Friday with near normal temperatures.
The latest computer models show a more summer pattern starting on the weekend and extending into at least early next week with quite warm temperatures and increased humidity.but at this time rain chances will be low.

More clouds and a chance of showers but mainly a dry Father’s Day!


Yesterday’s weather was a nice break from all the rain the past few weeks with plenty of sunshine, low humidity and temperatures ranging from 82 degrees in Clifton to a high of 78 degrees on Schooley’s Mountain where I enjoyed a nice party for my two year old grandson Tobin!
Today we will have more clouds and a little more humidity, there is a chance of afternoon and evening showers but most of the day with be dry with temperatures similar to yesterday’s.
As we head into the work week, there will be chances of showers and thunderstorms Monday and Tuesday with Monday being rather warm with temperatures reaching the upper 80s in some spots.
Drier air with seasonably warm temperatures from Wednesday into early next weekend.

Gorgeous start to the weekend; Father’s Day not too shabby either!


With plenty of sunshine today temperatures will warm into the 80s with low humidity as high pressure is building into our area.
Most of Father’s Day will be dry but there is a chance of an afternoon and evening shower or thunderstorm, it will be continued to be warm with highs in the 80s.
A warm start to the work week with temperatures well up into the 80s on Monday with still a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.
A better chance of showers on Tuesday as a cold front approaches, these showers may extend to early on Wednesday follow by mostly fair and dry weather for the rest of this upcoming week.
