Rain is ending, dry and pleasant weather through the weekend!


The rain is heading out and an extended period of dry weather is on tap through early next week.

Today most of the showers have moved east and we will have slow clearing, more sunshine inland and less along the coast, highs will be in the upper 70s.

Tonight, partly cloudy with a low in the low 60s.

Thursday and Friday, mostly sunny with a highs in the upper 70s.

Excellent late spring weather for the weekend with sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s, with rather comfortable humidity.

The dry weather will extend into most of next week with a warming trend.

Marine forecast:  Small craft advisory into Thursday with seas up to 6 feet winds becoming northeast to 20 knots. Northeast winds through the weekend with seas mainly 3-5 feet.

Rain developing this afternoon!


Tuesday is starting off cloudy and muggy with temperatures in the 60s.  Moisture coming in from the west as a cold front approaches also from tropical moisture from the south will cause rain to develop over the area this afternoon, steadiest and heaviest after 3PM.  Daytime temperatures will only climb a few degrees into the low – mid 70s as we will have the clouds and an onshore flow off the still cool ocean.

Tonight rain moderate to heavy at times, mild and muggy with lows in the mid 60s.  About an inch of rain expected with some locally higher amounts.

Wednesday most of the steady rain will end by 7am and we may have some breaks of sun but it will remain mostly cloudy with still a chance of a shower, highs in the mid 70s but if we have more sunshine temperatures will approach 80 degrees..

Thursday and Friday partly sunny with highs in the upper 70s.

The weekend looks real nice with seasonably mild temperatures in the upper 70s with plenty of sunshine..

No rain today but some heavy rain tomorrow!


For the first time this month there is no rain in the forecast, today will be partly sunny and about five degrees cooler than yesterday, still muggy though with  highs in the upper 70s.

Tonight, increasing cloudiness with lows in the low 60s.

Rain developing in the afternoon and my become heavy at times through Tuesday night tapering off Wednesday morning, highs in the mid 70s.  One to two inches of rain possible.

Most of the rain will end by noon on Wednesday but showers are still possible in the afternoon, highs near 80.

Thursday, mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, highs in the upper 70s.

Friday, mostly sunny with highs around 80 degrees

So far the weekend looks excellent with mostly sunny skies and highs mainly in the low 80s.

Marine forecast:  Southeast wind today with seas 2-3 feet.. Seas building to 5 feet or more by Tuesday night and continue through Thursday.

Warm and humid Sunday with possible thunderstorms!


Some of the clouds that blanketed the area since yesterday are still over the northern part of New Jersey, those clouds will thin out and it will become mostly sunny, quite warm and humid, highs in the mid to upper 80s..  Chance of thunderstorms mainly after 2PM.

Tonight will have a chance of an evening thunderstorm then partly cloudy, lows in the mid 60s

Monday no rain is in the forecast as it looks to be mostly sunny, not quite as warm as winds will be more from of the ocean, highs around 80.

Tuesday through Thursday look warm, muggy and wet.  Most of the rain will be from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday night.  Highs will generally be in the upper 70s

Friday into next weekend looks dry at this point and seasonably warm, highs near 80 degrees.

Marine forecast:  Light winds and seas through Monday,  higher seas up to 5 feet by mid-week.

Warm weekend but with scattered thunderstorms!


This may be a good time to go to the beach this weekend before the summer crowds move in.

Today will be warm but with a chance of thunderstorms mainly after 3PM, highs in the mid 80s.

Tonight evening thunderstorms still possible up until midnight, mild with lows in the mid 60s.

Continued warm on Sunday, still a thunderstorm possible late in the day but this activity will be less widespread than today, highs in the upper 80s.

Monday, mostly sunny, not quite as warm with highs around 80 degrees

Tuesday, mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 70s

A slow moving cold front will be crossing the area around Wednesday or Thursday increasing the chances of thunderstorms, highs both days around 80.

At this point of time, next weekend looks warm and dry.
