A weak front will be just to our west today with a continued southerly flow of warm and humid air. There is a chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms with some heavy rain possible.

The front will move over our area on Sunday and a low pressure will form on the front which will give us showers and thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon and at night. Heavy rain is likely with possible 1-2 inches of rainfall.

Mainly dry and quite warm with a little less humidity Tuesday through Thursday as weak high pressure builds into our area.

High pressure continues offshore giving us a south-southeast flow of humid air into our area. Today will be partly sunny with high temperatures slightly lower than the last two days. There is a slight (20%) chance of an afternoon or evening shower mainly further inland.

More clouds but continued humid on Saturday as a weak front will be in our area and we will have a slightly better chance of an afternoon or evening shower.

Low pressure developing on the front will likely give us showers and thunderstorms Sunday into Sunday night, some of which may be heavy at times.

The front will move offshore but there still will be a chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers both Monday and Tuesday.

The weak high will move offshore on Friday, it will continue to be humid, but with more clouds high temperatures will be a little lower than today. There will be a low chance of showers at night.

A slow moving trough of low pressure will be in our area Saturday through Monday. There will be a low chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers on Saturday, with showers and thunderstorms more likely Sunday into Monday.

Weak high pressure will build into our area on Tuesday, but there still may be an afternoon shower.

The front that caused the showers and thunderstorms yesterday is moving offshore as weak high pressure moves into our area. Today will be quite warm with highs near 90 and with dew points near 70 it will be an uncomfortable day.

A slow moving front will affect our weather Friday through early next week. There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon Friday and Saturday with showers and thunderstorms more likely Sunday into Monday. Highs will be near normal but overnight lows will be above normal. It will continue to be humid.

CLIFTON’S CLIMATE SUMMARY FOR JUNE 2023.

June’s average temperature was 68.8 which was 1.2 degrees below normal and was the coolest June since 2009. The highest temperature was 94 degrees on the 2nd and the lowest was 47 on the 4th. Precipitation was a little below normal with 3.40″ with almost half of the rainfall was on the 26th and 27th. We had smoke at times during the month from the Canadian wildfires with the 7th being the worst day with terrible air quality and the sun being totally blocked out causing a weird yellow glow.
