Today we will have considerable cloudiness but it will continue to be mild as a light southwesterly flow continues as high pressure is off the southeast coast. There is a slight chance of an afternoon shower but most areas will remain dry.

Another mild day on Monday ahead of a cold front that will cross the area in the afternoon.

Colder air will filter in for Tuesday through the beginning of the weekend but we should stay mainly dry as the storm track should keep any precipitation to our south. Saturday may be the coldest day since Christmas weekend, with lows in the low teens and highs only in the 20s.

The cold air will not be with us long as temperatures quickly moderate next Sunday with mild weather continuing much of next week.

High pressure will build into our area from the southeastern states with a southwest flow of milder air, winds will be a little brisk in the afternoon with some gusts to 25 mph.

High pressure building toward our area from the southwest will give us a mostly sunny day with temperatures at or slightly above normal. Winds will be from the southwest but will not be as brisk as yesterday.

High pressure will continue to dominate our weather this weekend with mild temperatures Saturday will be mostly sunny but mostly cloudy on Sunday as a weak disturbance moves through the area.

A weak disturbance will give us a chance of light snow or snow showers Tuesday night through the day on Wednesday.

Much colder weather with finally below normal temperatures Thursday through next weekend but at this point the area will stay mainly dry.

This weekend will be mild and mainly dry with highs both days near 50.

Low pressure now over the lower Mississippi Valley will move into our area today. Precipitation should start off as snow around noon or shortly after quickly changing to rain this afternoon. Possible snowfall amounts will be less than a half of inch in the Clifton area but up to 2-4 inches over the higher elevations to our north and west. Easterly winds will increase with gusts to 35 mph by tonight with temperatures rising to the 40s by evening. Rain will be heavy at times through tonight with total rainfall amounts averaging 1-2 inches.

As the storm passes the precipitation should end before daybreak on Thursday with clearing during the day, winds will be gusty out of the west to 35 mph. Early temperatures in the 40s will drop to the 30s by sunset.

A fairly tranquil pattern Friday through the beginning of next week with dry conditions. Temperatures will be near normal Friday, above normal over the weekend and then still a little above normal early next week.
