Rain is falling across the area early on this Tuesday morning with some freezing rain well to our north and west. Temperatures range from 34 in Clifton down to 30 at High Point. Winds are mainly from the northeast around 10 mph.

Low pressure that caused the overnight rain is moving offshore and the rain should end by around 9 a.m. followed by some clearing this afternoon. Temperatures will be milder with most highs reaching the 40s.

A cold front will cross the area tonight and colder Arctic air will be with us on Wednesday with highs just above freezing.

The next storm system will affect our area on Thursday which will give our area plowable snow during the day with the precipitation mixing with sleet late at night and change to rain before ending on Friday.

The upcoming weekend will likely be dry with below normal temperatures.

Another weather low pressure area will give us a chance of rain and snow on Monday.

It appears that the pattern will change next week with near or above normal temperatures.

Low pressure developing over the southeast states will cause cloudy and chilly conditions today with a chance of some light freezing rain mixed with sleet.

As the low pressure gets closer to our area we will have heavier freezing rain tonight changing to plain rain Tuesday morning. About a tenth of an inch of ice is expected in the Clifton area but above a quarter inch of ice across inland areas of the area where an ice storm warning is in effect. Clearing and milder Tuesday afternoon.

Wednesday will be a dry but chilly day, but at least it will be mostly sunny.

Another significant storm is expected Thursday into Friday with snow during the day Thursday changing to rain by Friday morning.

A dry but chilly weekend is likely!

The weak low pressure that caused some freezing drizzle overnight is moving offshore but cloudy skies will persist all day. Temperatures will not be as cold as yesterday with readings reaching a bit above freezing this afternoon.

Another weak low will give us a chance of light sleet and freezing rain on Monday possibly changing to plain rain in the afternoon.

A stronger low pressure will give our area another round of wintery precipitation on Monday night into the day on Tuesday with a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain possibly changing to plain rain in the afternoon.

Wednesday will be the only dry day of the week but it will continue to be chilly.

Another in the series of storms this week will likely gives us snow Thursday afternoon possibly changing to rain on Friday.

At this point next weekend looks to be dry with tempertures a bit below normal.

A weak disturbance will cause cloudy and cold conditions today with a wintery mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain from late this afternoon until around daybreak on Sunday. Accumulations of snow and sleet will be less than one inch but slippery conditions may occur on untreated walks and roads. The rest of Sunday will remain mostly cloudy and cold.

Another weak low pressure to our south will give us a low chance of more wintery weather on Monday.

A stronger low with more sleet and freezing rain will affect our area on Tuesday.

Wednesday will be the only dry day with partial sunshine but it will remain cold.

Still another storm will give us some rain or snow Thursday into Friday as our active winter weather continues.

High pressure build into the area from the west will give us a northerly flow of cold air today along with partly sunny skies. High temperatures should stay below freezing all day.

Saturday will start off dry but a low pressure area in the southeast states will approach our area giving us snow mixed with sleet Saturday night and mainly sleet and freezing rain on Sunday. The precipitation will be light with accumulations of snow and ice to be around 1 inch.

After a cold and dry Monday a stronger low pressure will affect our area on Tuesday, at this time the precipitation should be mainly in the form of snow and sleet with moderate accumulations.

And another storm is expected to affect our weather Thursday into Friday that may start off as snow but as warmer air moves in on Friday the snow may change to rain, however this storm is a week away so details of this storm will probably change a few times till then.
