Good morning everyone!   Skies are cloudy early this morning and there are pockets of dense fog in some areas, temperatures are mild ranging from the upper 40s here in Clifton down to the upper 30s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

A warm front will move north of the area today and a southwest flow of unseasonably mild air temperatures today will rise to well up into the 60s but be cooler at the shore.  After cloudy skies this morning we should see some sunshine this afternoon.  Tonight will be very mild and damp with a chance of some fog or drizzle.

Tomorrow will be even warmer as temperatures reach the 70 degree mark along with partly sunny skies.

A cold front will cross the area Wednesday night followed by cooler weather.  A few disturbances will give us periods of rain Thursday through the weekend although it won’t be raining all the time.  Although temperatures will be cooler they will be still above normal for the end of February.

THURSDAY – FEB 22 – Cloudy with a chance of rain in the morning with rain likely in the afternoon, much cooler, high in the mid 40s.

FRIDAY – FEB 23 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, high in the mid 40s.

SATURDAY – FEB 24 – Cloudy with a chance of rain, high in the mid 50s.

SUNDAY – FEB 25 – Cloudy with a chance of rain, high near 50.

Good morning everyone!     Our area has partly cloudy skies early on this Presidents Day and there is a wide range of temperatures with the lower 30s in Clifton down to around 20 further inland, winds are mainly calm.

Today we will see an increase in clouds as high pressure moves offshore and a warm front approaches the area from the southwest, light rain is likely from after 4 p.m. this afternoon through this evening, temperatures will rise into the 40s and remain at that level tonight.

Much milder on Tuesday as the warm front moves to our north and a southwest flow develops, there may be some fog or drizzle early in the morning then we should have some sunshine in the afternoon.

Wednesday will be the warmest day of the week as the southwest flow will push temperatures up into the 70s along with partly sunny skies.

Cooler on Thursday but still above normal and there will be a chance of rain.

Unsettled weather Friday through the weekend with a chance of rain each day, some of the rain may be frozen inland on Friday morning.   Cool temperatures on Friday but it will be milder over the weekend.

SUNDAY  FEBRUARY 18, 2018  5:53 A.M.

Good morning everyone!    Skies have become mostly clear early this morning and temperatures range from the low 30s in the Clifton area down to the upper 20s further inland, winds are mainly calm.  Snow accumulations were from 5-8 inches around the area.

Today we will have plenty of sunshine and with temperatures reaching the 40s it will help melt some of the snow today.   Tonight temperatures should drop to just below freezing so there may be some black ice issues.

Seasonably mild on Monday with mostly cloudy skies, light rain is likely late Monday afternoon into the evening as a warm front approaches the area.

The warm front will move to our north on Tuesday with much milder air moving into the region, temperatures will be near 70 on Tuesday and rise to the low 70s on Wednesday, we should stay mainly dry but there is a chance of showers Wednesday night as a cold front slips to our south.

Unsettled weather Thursday through the beginning of next weekend.  There is a chance of precipitation each day that may be frozen inland Thursday night into Friday morning.  Temperatures Thursday and Friday will be cooler with milder temperatures again expected over the weekend.

SATURDAY  FEBRUARY 17, 2018  5:44 A.M.

Good Saturday morning everyone!   We have mostly clear skies early this morning and temperatures are much colder than this time yesterday ranging from the upper 20s in the Clifton area down to around 20 further inland, these readings are actually normal for this time of day.   Winds are light.

High pressure will be moving off the coast today and we should see some sunshine this morning followed by increasing cloudiness this afternoon.  A low pressure will form offshore and move up the coast producing snow from around 6 p.m this evening until 4 a.m. tomorrow morning, snow may become heavy at times, accumulations of 4-7 inches are expected and a winter storm warning has been issued.

High pressure will return for Sunday and temperatures will be milder approaching the 50 degree mark.

Some light rain Monday afternoon into Tuesday morning as a warm front moves through the area.

Record highs possible on Tuesday and likely on Wednesday when the temperatures may reach the low 70s.   Showers with a cold front is possible Wednesday night.

Cooler on Thursday with mainly dry conditions, temperatures will still be above normal.

A good chance of light rain Friday afternoon and night as another warm front approaches the area.

TONIGHT – Snow from around 6 p.m. until 4 a.m.  snow may be heavy at times, low around 30, snow accumulations of 4-7 inches expected.

FRIDAY  FEBRUARY 16, 2018  5:54 A.M.

Good Friday morning everyone!   It is unseasonably mild early this morning with temperatures ranging from the mid 50s in the Clifton area down to around 50 further inland, these temperatures are about 30 degrees warmer than normal for this time in the middle of February.  There is some scattered mainly light showers in the area.

Showers will fall mainly this morning as a couple of cold fronts move through the area, temperatures in the 50s this morning will fall to the 40s by sunset and it will become breezy.

Much colder tonight with lows falling to the middle 20s which is actually near normal for this time of year, skies will be mostly clear.

Saturday will start off dry with seasonably cold temperatures but a quick moving but potent low pressure system will be moving up the coast, snow will develop around 8 p.m and continue moderate to heavy at times ending before daybreak Sunday morning, there is a potential for 4-7 inches of snowfall, a winter storm watch has been posted for the area.

Clearing during the day on Sunday but will no cold air around temperatures will be seasonably mild.

Showers are likely Monday afternoon into Tuesday morning as a warm front moves to our north, the front will be followed by much warmer air with highs Tuesday and Wednesday will be well up into the 60s with some records possible.   Showers on Wednesday as a cold front moves to our south.

Thursday will be cooler but still with above normal temperatures.
