Quite warm and humid today with a low chance of a shower late this afternoon and this evening! Cooler and dry tomorrow and on Friday!


Skies are mostly clear early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures range from the upper 60s here in Clifton to around 60 further inland, winds are light.

We should have a very warm day today with a little higher humidity as high pressure moves offshore and a cold front approaches from the west, some spots may approach the 90 degree mark.  There is a low chance of a shower late this afternoon into this evening.

The cold front will move off the coast tonight and high pressure builds into the area tomorrow and be with us on Friday giving the area mostly fair skies both days with cooler and less humid air.

High pressure will move off the coast on Saturday and another stronger cold front approaches, Saturday will be mainly dry with seasonably warm temperatures.

The best chance of showers will be from Saturday night through Monday morning as the cold front slowly moves through the area.

Fair weather returns for early next week with seasonably warm temperatures.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures range from the upper 50s in the Clifton area to the upper 40s in some of the cooler inland areas, winds are light.

Today will be another nice September day with plenty of sunshine and high temperatures a couple of degrees warmer than on Monday.

High pressure will be moving off the coast as a front approaches from the west on Wednesday, it will be quite warm and a little more humid, high will be mainly in the upper 80s and some spots may see a 90 degree reading.  There is a slight chance of a shower in the evening as the front comes through.

High pressure will build behind the front giving us nice weather with near seasonable temperatures Thursday through Saturday.

Another front approaching the area on Sunday will give us a good chance of showers that may linger into Monday morning.

Nice weather much of this week with little or no rainfall!


Skies are mostly clear early on this Monday morning and temperatures are much lower than the last few mornings with readings ranging from the upper 50s here in Clifton to some mid 40s further inland, winds are light and the humidity is low.

Today will feature plenty of sunshine with near normal temperatures with highs near 80 degrees and with low humidity it will be a very nice day.

Another nice day on Tuesday with temperatures a couple of degrees warmer.

Wednesday will be the warmest day of the week with highs in the upper 80s with higher humidity.

A cold front will cross the area on Wednesday night and now appears the front will come through with no precipitation, the front will be followed by cooler and drier air for the end of the week with temperatures at or even slightly below normal.

A little warmer over the weekend with the best chance of showers will be on Sunday but no widespread precipitation is expected as our dry pattern continues.

Chance of a shower this morning followed by cooler and much drier air! Pleasant weather to start the workweek!


Skies are cloudy early on this Sunday morning and once again it is quite warm and humid with temperatures ranging from the upper 70s here in Clifton to near 70 further inland and with dew points in the low 70s it continues to be quite uncomfortable.  There were some showers falling across the Poconos.

A cold front will cross the area later this morning giving us a chance of a shower, the front will be followed by much drier air this afternoon along with clearing and seasonably warm temperatures.

Monday and Tuesday will be very pleasant as high pressure builds into the area, temperatures will be a little above normal with continued comfortable humidity.

Wednesday will be quite warm with a chance of showers as another front approaches the area.

High pressure will again build in behind the front giving us much cooler and drier air for Thursday and Friday.

One more hot and humid day today with possible showers! Much less humid air moves in by Sunday afternoon!


Skies are mostly cloudy to cloudy across the area early on this Saturday morning and tempertures range from the low 70s in the Clifton area to the upper 60s further inland, winds are nearly calm and it continues to be muggy.

Today may be the last 90 degree day of the year as high pressure moves off the coast and a cold front approaches from the west, hot and humid air will continue along with partly sunny skies.  The front may cause some shower activity this afternoon but most of the showers will hold off until tonight.

The front will come through tomorrow morning with a continued chance of showers followed by clearing, it still will be warm but become much less humid in the afternoon.

Pleasant weather Monday and Tuesday with near seasonable temperatures.

Another cold front may touch off some showers on Wednesday followed by even cooler weather for the end of the week with temperatures actually below normal which we have not seen much over the last several weeks.  No widespread precipitation is expected through the end of the week as our dry pattern continues..

AUGUST AND SUMMER RECAP:

August temperatures averaged around 4 degrees above normal which tied for second as the warmest August since 1973;  Precipitation was below normal with only 2.43″  The hottest day was on the 13th when the temperature reached 98 degrees, the lowest was on the 23rd when the temperature dropped to 55 degrees.

The 3 summer months were also well above normal, nearly averaging 3 degrees above average making this the third hottest summer since 1973 with only 2005 and 2010 being warmer.  Precipitation was also below normal with 11.71 inches falling.
