Skies are mostly cloudy to cloudy early this Tuesday morning and temperatures are milder than the last couple of mornings ranging from the mid 50s in Clifton to some mid 40s in the colder suburbs, winds are nearly calm.

Today will be mild despite considerable cloudiness, a weak cold front will cross the area this evening preceded by some light shower activity this afternoon into the early evening, the precipitation will only be a few hundredths of an inch.

Rather nice weather Wednesday and Thursday with temperatures at or a little above normal.

Another cold front will be crossing the area on Friday with some light showers possible.

The coldest air of the season so far this season is likely Saturday through Monday with highs only in the 50s and lows in the mid 30s, inland areas across northwestern New Jersey and the Hudson Valley may see their first freeze.

Outstanding fall weather for Columbus Day! Mild with showers on Tuesday! Cooling trend later this week!


Clear skies and calm winds has caused temperatures to be quite cool again this morning with readings ranging from the upper 40s in Clifton to the upper 30s inland.

Temperatures will rise quickly after sunrise this morning and with plenty of sunshine we will become quite mild again with highs well up into the 70s.

A cold front will be crossing the area tomorrow which will give us a chance of some light showers, temperatures will still be mild.

Somewhat cooler and dry Wednesday and Thursday.

Another cold front will give us a chance of showers on Friday.

The coldest air of the season is likely this upcoming weekend with highs mostly in the 50s and overnight lows in the 30s with the first freeze possible inland.  No significant rainfall is expected the next several days.

Milder today after a chilly morning! A warm and dry Columbus Day!


We have clear skies and nearly calm winds early this Sunday morning and temperatures have fallen to the low 40s here in Clifton ranging to the 30s further inland with some patchy frost, the lowest temperature recorded in New Jersey is a chilly 33 degrees in Basking Ridge.

Today we will see a quick rebound in temperatures as a southwest flow along with plenty of sunshine will help temperatures rise to the 70 degree mark.

Not as chilly tonight and Columbus Day will be quite mild with highs reaching the mid 70s with continued sunny skies.

Still mild on Tuesday with a chance of a light shower.

Dry with seasonable temperatures Wednesday and Thursday

Below normal temperatures can be expected Friday into next weekend with a chance of showers on Friday.  No widespread rain is expected for the next several days.

Today we will have plenty of sunshine as high pressure builds over the area, temperatures will be cooler than on Friday with highs in the mid 60s, winds will diminish by this afternoon.

Tonight will be chilly with some patchy frost well inland.

Milder during the day on Sunday and again we will see plenty of sunshine.

Columbus Day will be sunny and quite mild.

Warm day today with afternoon and evening showers! Very nice fall weather for the weekend!


Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Friday morning, there is some fog around especially inland, temperatures range from the mild upper 50s in Clifton to some upper 40s well inland, winds are quite light.

It will be warm today despite mostly cloudy skies, temperatures may reach the 80 degree mark in some areas and it will be a little humid also.  A cold front will be approaching the area today and move offshore tonight, an area of showers and thunderstorms will precede the front and some storms may be accompanied by strong winds and brief heavy rain, mostly likely time for the rain will be between 4 and 10 p.m.

High pressure will build behind the front and Saturday will feature plenty of sunshine and it will be cooler and less humid.

After a chilly start Sunday will become milder with again mostly sunny skies.

Mild again on Monday with sunny skies but another cold front will approach the area possibly accompanied by some showers Monday night into Tuesday.

Dry weather seasonable temperatures Wednesday and Thursday.
