Cool with rain today and Tuesday! Flash flood watch in effect!


The rain has stopped for now in the Clifton area and temperatures are in the mid 50s, winds are around 10 m.p.h.   We received 2.10″ of rainfall since yesterday with some area having more than double that amount causing flash flooding.

Rain will again develop today and continue into Tuesday an additional 2 inches is possible with some higher amounts, a flash flood watch continues in effect through tomorrow.  Temperatures will be much cooler than the last few days with highs only in the 60s.

Drier weather can be expected Wednesday and Thursday with temperatures a little below normal.

Another frontal system will move into the area on Friday, the timing of possible showers is still in question as the GFS has the precipitation falling Friday night into early Saturday while the European has most of the showers falling Saturday and Saturday night, temperatures will be around normal for early June.

Warm today with showers! Cooler with widespread rain Monday and Tuesday!


Skies are mostly cloudy early this Sunday morning and temperatures are quite mild once again mainly in the mid-upper 60s, some showers have moved into parts of Sussex and Warren counties are moving slowly eastward, winds are light.

Today it will be warm and humid, there is a chance of morning showers but most of the showers and thunderstorms will fall after 2 p.m.

Now it appears that the cold front will sag just to our south tonight giving us cooler temperatures but a couple of waves along the front will cause rain on Monday which will continue into Tuesday morning, look for an average of two inches of well needed rainfall.

Nice weather Wednesday through Friday with a slow warming trend.

A front may cause some showers on Saturday.

A warm and humid Saturday! Chance of showers tonight through Tuesday!


Skies are mostly clear at daybreak this Saturday morning and we have mild temperatures once again with readings in the low 60s in the Clifton area to the upper 50s further inland, winds are light and it is rather muggy.

During the day today we will have partly sunny skies with warm temperatures along with humid conditions,  there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight.

On Sunday we will continue to have warm and humid conditions with showers and thunderstorms becoming likely by the afternoon.

Most of the heaviest rain is likely to fall from Sunday night into Monday, the biggest chance in the forecast is that the front that was expected to pass to our south will stay in our area or just to our north so instead of high temperatures in the low 60s on Monday it now appears that the highs will be in the upper 70s.

Showers lingering on Tuesday with temperatures slightly below normal.

Dry with a warming trend Wednesday through Friday.

Pleasantly warm and less humid weather today!


We have clear skies early this Friday morning and temperatures range from the low 60s in the Clifton area to some low 50s in the colder inland spots, humidity is lower than the last few mornings and the winds are light.

Today we will enjoy plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures along with lower humidity.

Humidity returns on Saturday and there is a low chance of some showers and thunderstorm developing mainly in the late afternoon and evening as a cold front approaches.

The front will cross the area on Sunday giving us some well needed widespread rainfall that will continue on Monday.  Temperatures will be near seasonable on Sunday and then becoming much cooler on Monday when high temperatures will only be in the low 60s.

Still a chance of some light rain on Tuesday with continued cool temperatures.

Dry weather returns on Wednesday along with milder temperatures.

Warm and humid again today with another chance of thunderstorms! Dry and pleasantly warm on Friday!


Skies are cloudy early this Thursday morning and it is quite mild and muggy with temperatures mainly in the upper 60s, winds are nearly calm.

Today we will have mostly cloudy skies and it will be warm and humid once again, there is a chance of thunderstorms mainly around noon to the early afternoon as a weak cold front pushes through the area.

Friday will be a little cooler and less humid along with plenty of sunshine.

On Saturday a stronger cold front is expected to approach the area on Saturday night accompanied by some showers and thunderstorms mainly developing after 4 p.m., it will be warmer and a more humid.

The cold front will move just to our south on Sunday with showers likely along with cooler temperatures.

Cool weather with still a chance of showers Monday and Tuesday.

Dry and milder on Wednesday.
