Milder and dry weather through Wednesday!


We have mostly clear conditions at daybreak this morning with temperatures ranging from the upper 30s in the Clifton area to the low 30s further inland, winds have diminished from yesterday but are still gusty.

Today will be milder than on the weekend with highs about 10 degrees higher than yesterday’s, winds will be gusty but not nearly as strong as what we experienced on Sunday and they will diminish  further by later this afternoon.

Dry weather will continue on Tuesday and Wednesday with even milder temperatures.

A storm system will affect the area on Thursday and Friday with rain likely and cooler temperatures.

Next weekend should be cool and dry.

TUESDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 60s.

MARINE FORECAST:  Gale warning in effect till 11am this morning for northwest winds to 35 mph and seas 5-8 feet, winds and seas diminishing to below advisory levels by tonight.

OUTLOOK – Sub-advisory level conditions Tuesday and Wednesday with advisories likely by mid-day Thursday and continue on Friday.

Very windy and cool Sunday, milder on Monday after a frosty start!


We have mostly cloudy skies at daybreak this morning with the temperature ranging from 40 in the Clifton area to the upper 30s further inland, winds are strong out of the north gusting at times to 30 mph.

Hopefully everyone turned the clocks back one hour last night.  Today sunrise is at 6:29 am and sunset is at a too early 4:52pm.

Yesterday we had just after 1/4 of an inch of rain.

Today we will see the return of sunshine but it will be windy and very chilly, highs will only reach to about 50 degrees and with winds gusting to 35-40 mph will make it feel much colder.  Glad I am not doing that New York marathon today.

Tomorrow morning will be quite cold with readings down near the freezing mark however winds will be diminishing.  Milder during the day with highs nearly ten degrees higher than today and with much less wind it will fell much more comfortable.

Even milder weather for Tuesday and Wednesday with highs reaching well up into the 60s, we should stay dry both days.

Another strong storm is possible Thursday into Friday with possible heavy rain and strong winds.

At the present time it appears that next weekend will be dry but chilly.

MARINE FORECAST:   Gale warnings are in effect till midnight tonight for northwest winds gusting to 45 knots, seas 7-10 feet.

OUTLOOK – Conditions lower to below advisory levels on Monday with below advisory level continuing Tuesday and Wednesday with possible advisories again on Thursday.

 

CLIMATE –  October 2014 averaged about 2 degrees above normal, precipitation in Clifton was a bit above normal also with 4.71″ falling.

Rainy, chilly and windy Saturday! Dry on Sunday but still windy and quite cool!


At daybreak this morning temperatures are mostly in the low 40s in the area, occasional light rain is occurring along with gusty northerly winds.

Today we will continue to be windy and cool with periods of rain as two storms move along the coast, temperatures will not rise much remaining  mostly in the upper 40s and with winds gusting to 30 mph it will feel quite chilly and raw.  Rain amounts should average around 1/4 of an inch,  with more falling to our east and less further inland.

The rain should end just after midnight and we should see clearing on Sunday but it still will be windy with wind gusts to 35 mph, temperatures will continue to be well below normal.

After a chilly Monday morning it will become milder in the afternoon along with much less wind.

Mild weather Tuesday through Thursday with a chance of showers Wednesday night into Thursday.

A cold front will move through on Thursday with dry but cooler weather on Friday.

Pleasant Halloween weather! Only spotty light rain on Saturday! Windy and chilly weekend!


Skies are mostly clear early this morning with temperatures ranging from around 40 degrees in the Clifton area to some upper 20s in the colder inland areas, winds are light northerly.

Today will be a rather nice fall day with temperatures in the upper 50s with light winds.  Clouds will increase tonight but we will stay dry for trick or treaters.

The coastal low now off the southeast coast will intensify well offshore on Saturday, expect only periods of light rain during the day and evening but it will become windy and chilly, rain amounts will be less than 1/4 of an inch, lower amounts inland.

Sunday will be a very windy day with chilly temperatures, winds could gust close to 40mph.

After a chilly start on Monday it will become seasonably mild on Monday with much less wind and plenty of sunshine.

Temperatures will climb to above normal readings Tuesday through Thursday with the next chance of light showers on Wednesday night and Thursday.

Dry with seasonable temperatures today and on Halloween! Chilly and windy over the weekend with some rain on Saturday, snow unlikely!


Skies are mostly clear early this morning and temperatures are much cooler than yesterday morning with readings mostly in the low 40s which is seasonable for this time of year, winds are light and there is some patchy fog in some spots.

Today will be a rather pleasant fall day with plenty of sunshine and light winds and near seasonable temperatures.

Clouds will increase for Halloween but we will stay dry for the trick or treaters, temperatures will be a little below normal.

The storm system for the weekend now appears to form well off the coast there will be a good chance of rain but snow is now unlikely even well inland as the colder air will not arrive until the precipitation ends.  It will become windy on Saturday and those winds will be quite strong into Sunday. Skies will become mostly sunny on Sunday.

It should be dry into the middle of next week with moderating temperatures.
