Under clear skies early this morning temperatures have fallen to the mid 20s in the Clifton area to around 20 in some of the colder locations inland.

Today will be mostly sunny and temperatures will rise quickly reaching the mid to upper 40s by this afternoon.

Increasing cloudiness tonight with a good chance of light rain or snow toward Saturday morning, snow will be more likely inland across Sussex County and the Poconos where 1-3 inches my accumulate, little or no accumulation is expected in the Clifton area.

Skies will clear later on Saturday with highs near the 40 degree mark.

Sunday will be mostly cloudy with temperatures in the upper 30s.

Monday will remain dry with highs near 40.

An Arctic cold front will move through Monday night with much colder weather Tuesday through next Friday with highs mostly only in the 20s and lows near 10 degrees.  At this time most of next week will remain dry.

Skies are cloudy at daybreak this morning with temperatures ranging from the mid 30s in the Clifton area to the upper 20s to our north and west. There are some snow showers that have whiten the ground across Northwest New Jersey and the Poconos.

Today we will have cloudy skies this morning with just a chance of morning light rain showers in the Clifton area, skies will slowly become partly sunny this afternoon.

Friday will be a dry day with seasonably mild temperatures but another weak disturbance may cause some snow showers late at night..

Early snow showers may give us a coating of snow early Saturday morning then we will have clearing with seasonable temperatures.

Mostly cloudy on Sunday with another chance of snow showers with continued seasonable temperatures.

Dry and seasonable mild on Monday.

An Arctic front will cross the area Monday night or Tuesday morning ushering back much colder air for the middle of next week along with a chance of snow.

Longer range it appears that a cold and possibly stormy period will be with us later next week through the end of the month.

Temperatures at daybreak are in the low 30s in the Clifton area with the upper 20s further inland.  There is considerable fog in the area along with some black ice on untreated surfaces, so be cautious heading out early this morning.

Today after the early fog dissipates we will have mostly sunny and mild conditions with highs reaching the 50 degree mark.

Dry and slightly cooler Thursday into Friday.

A weak disturbance will give us a chance of light rain or snow Friday night into Saturday morning but chances are low and most areas should remain dry.

Seasonably cool weather for the weekend into early next week.  Precipitation chances are very low through the middle of next week.

With clear skies early this morning temperatures have fallen to the upper 20s in the Clifton area to the low 20s further inland.

Today will be a very pleasant day for the middle of January with sunny skies and temperatures rising into the low 50s.

On Tuesday a cold front will give us a likelihood of some light rain mostly falling in the morning, it will remain mild with highs near 50.

Somewhat cooler Wednesday through Friday but temperatures will be at or slightly above normal.  There is a chance of rain or snow showers on Wednesday as a low pressure forms offshore, otherwise the rest of the week should be dry

Cold and dry on the weekend but not as frigid as what we experienced last week.
