Clouding up with a little rain likely this afternoon!

A weak disturbance moving just to our south will cause clouds to increase this morning with light rain mainly between 4-9pm, cool with highs near 60 degrees.

Yes tomorrow is Friday and it will be mostly sunny but quite windy with high temperatures in the 50s, will feel more like the end of March..

Another weak system will move to our south on Saturday, rain may brush our area Saturday afternoon into the night, in fact the happy campers in Sussex County may even see snow mixed in with the rain. Highs mostly in the 50s.

Sunday will have clearing but staying chilly with highs still in the 50s..

Latest indications have a substantial warm up next week with highs approaching 80 degrees by Wednesday..

Marine forecast – Small craft advisories for tonight into Friday, lowering below SCA levels

Rather pleasant Wednesday but some rain on Thursday!

Today will be similar to yesterday with a mostly sunny start but clouds increasing this afternoon with a slight chance of a sprinkle, highs a couple of degrees higher reaching the low to mid 60s and again it will be breezy.

A weak low will be moving through the area on Thursday with light rain likely, most of the rain will fall in the afternoon, getting windy again in the afternoon.

Friday will be sunny, breezy and cool with highs near 60 degrees.

The weekend looks more promising as the rain should stay to our south however it will be cool with highs in the upper 50s, morning lows may drop below freezing in Sussex County, NJ and other outlying areas..

Next week looks dry for the most part, temperatures will start off below normal rising to above normal towards the end of the week..

Marine forecast: Small craft advisories through the week with winds and seas diminishing to below advisory levels on the weekend.

Just a note that on Monday the US had its hottest April temperature recorded ever as it reached 113 degrees in Death Valley California..

Another note: Record low 65 degrees this morning in Key West, Florida..

Cool and breezy Tuesday1

The nor-easter that gave our area rain on Sunday has moved up into Eastern Canada but the circulation around the low will keep cool weather in our area, bit windy also with partly to mostly cloudy skies with only a slight chance of an afternoon shower, high mainly in the upper 50s.

Wednesday it still will be cool with less wind, mostly cloudy again with a slight chance of a sprinkle with highs again in the upper 50s.

Thursday will be slightly milder but with a better chance of showers in the afternoon and evening, highs will reach the mid 60s.

Friday may be the best day of the week with mostly sunny skies but still on the cool side with highs in the low 60s.

The weekend for all you trailer peeps looks unsettled and cool, right now the best chance of showers will be Saturday evening into Sunday but that is far from certain right now, highs mostly in the upper 50s to around 60.

For those wondering what happened to sunny and the 70s, it appears that we will have to wait till at least the middle part of next week for the warmer weather to occur.

Marine forecast, small craft advisories through Wednesday…

Rain has tapered off but lots of clouds will remain!

The much needed rain has just about ended this morning, 2.70″ of precipitation since Saturday night according to my rain gauge. Today will remain mostly cloudy with still a low chance of a shower or two, highs in the chilly 50s.

Tuesday lots of clouds and it will stay cool with highs in the upper 50s, still a very low chance of a shower mainly in the afternoon.

Wednesday will start out dry but a chance of more showers at night into Thursday, highs Wednesday and Thursday in the low 60s.

Friday has the best chance of staying dry the whole day but still cool with highs near 60.

Next weekend looks unsettled, still below normal temperatures and chances of rain especially on Sunday..

Marine forecast, small craft advisories will probably stay up until Wednesday morning then the wind and seas should subside the rest of the week.
