Relief from the intense heat!

Thunderstorms brought quick relief to the heat but not before having temperatures pass the century mark., in Clifton I recorded 102 degrees, the highest reading of this hot summer.. The thunderstorms were kind of lame in my area, only .15″ of rain fell with only a little thunder, however damaging winds, hail and heavy rain were close by. Andover and Mahwah NJ had wind damage and downtown Manhattan had rather large hail. Today will be about 15 degrees cooler and tomorrow we will get a nice steady rainfall that will help our burnt grass, temperatures on Friday will not get out of the 70s.. Weekend looks good, warming trend next week still in the cards..
