Milder day after a chilly start.


Temperatures this morning are in the mid 40s here in Clifton but some of the cooler parts of the state readings dropped down to the 30s, coolest since mid-May. It will get quickly milder today with readings rising to the mid 70s under sunny skies.. On Wednesday there is a slight chance of a shower in the morning but most of the showers will hold off till the afternoon into early Thursday morning. Cool with chance of showers late Friday through the weekend.

The forecast: Today: Sunny, high in the mid 70s
Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of a shower after midnight, not as cool, low in the upper 50s.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of afternoon showers becoming more likely at night, high in the upper 70s
Thursday: Becoming mostly sunny, high near 70.
Friday: Partly sunny with a chance of an afternoon shower, high upper 60s
Saturday through Monday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers each day, cool with highs from the upper 60s to around 70.

Marine forecast: Today: Southwest winds to 15 knots, seas 3 feet.
Outlook: Small craft advisory for late tonight through Wednesday afternoon. Below advisory level conditions on Thursday and Friday but advisories may be needed for the weekend.
