Cloudy and chilly Monday, Sandy’s mean little sister coming up the coast on Wednesday!


We start off today with cloudy skies with chilly temperatures in the 30s, we will have some breaks in the clouds by this afternoon. Tonight will be the coldest night of this week with temperatures falling below freezing in most areas. Well below normal temperatures will continue on Tuesday with partial sunshine.. Then on Wednesday the nor’easter that will affect our area with rain starting by the afternoon and it will become windy with gusts at least to 40MPH and up to 55MPH on the coast, we may have 1-2 inches of rain that will start off as snow well inland, 1-4 inches of snow may fall in the Poconos. Rain and wind will taper off by midday on Thursday with quieter and milder weather starting Friday and lasting into the early part of next week.
Also a 2.0 earthquake occurred centered in Ringwood, NJ at 1:19am this morning..

The forecast: Today, Cloudy this morning with partial sun this afternoon, chilly with highs in the upper 40s.
Tonight – Clear and cold, low in the upper 20s.
Tuesday – Sunny, high in the upper 40s.
Wednesday and Wednesday night, rain and windy, rain may start out as a snow inland, high in the upper 40s.
Thursday – Rain and wind tapering off by afternoon, high near 50.
Friday – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 50s.
Saturday and Sunday – Sunny and milder, highs both days in the upper 50s.

Marine Forecast: Today – North-northwest wind to 15 knots, seas 2 feet.
Outlook: Quiet conditions on Tuesday but Gale and possibly Storm force winds on Wednesday and Thursday, small craft advisories will still probably be needed on Friday.
