Heat wave continues; Another hot July 18th

According to my records July 18th has the most 90 degrees or higher temperature than any other day of the year (20 out of 40). Just last July 18th it hit 102 degrees.
With an overnight low of barely under 80 degrees we are off to the races with some high temperatures reaching 100 in some spots. Humidity will be on the rise and there will be a chance of an afternoon or evening thunderstorm but most areas will not see one.
Even more humid on Friday with high temperatures in the upper 90s heat index may be past 105 degrees. Still a chance of a scattered thunderstorm.
Most of the thunderstorm activity will be from noon on Saturday through Saturday night as a cold front slowly approaches our area. Some of these storms may reach severe levels. It will still be hot and humid.
Still a chance of showers on Sunday as the cold front slowly sags south of our area, it will be gradually cooler and less humid.
Beautiful summer weather on Monday and Tuesday with highs in the 80s.
Chance of showers on Wednesday..
