Heavy rain to continue into Thursday morning; Flood watch remains in effect!


Steady rain is falling at daybreak this morning and the  temperature is a chilly 40 degrees,  with a brisk easterly wind it feels even colder, around .70″ of rain has accumulated since yesterday.

Rain will continue today, moderate to occasionally heavy, temperatures will remain cool with highs only just above the 50 degree mark.

Heavy rain with thunderstorms overnight tapering off after daybreak on Thursday, total rainfall could exceed  four inches and a flood watch remains in effect.  Temperatures overnight will rise into the upper 50s by sunrise tomorrow.

Rain should end before noon on Thursday and it will become quite mild with highs reaching the mid 70s.

Friday through Sunday look mainly dry although there may be a brief shower especially on Sunday, temperatures will be seasonable.

Nice spring weather for the beginning of next week.

 

The forecast: Today – Rain, moderate to heavy at times, high in the low 50s.

Tonight – Rain heavy at times with a few thunderstorms, temperatures rising to the upper 50s by daybreak.

Thursday – Rain ending around 11am, total rainfall amounts around four inches, partial sunshine in the afternoon and warmer with highs in the mid 70s.

Friday – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 60s.

Saturday – Partly sunny, high in the upper 60s.

Sunday – Partly sunny with a chance of an afternoon shower, high in the upper 60s.

Monday – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 60s.

Tuesday – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 60s.

 

Marine forecast: Small craft advisory in effect through Thursday – Today – Southeast wind to 30 knots seas 6-9 feet.

Outlook – Sub-advisory level conditions expected Friday through Sunday.
