Some showers and much warmer today after yesterday’s deluge!


At daybreak this morning temperatures have risen to the low 50s, the heavy rain has moved out of the area and at the present time we only have some drizzle falling.

Total rainfall from this storm so far is 4.14″ in Clifton.

Today we will still have showers around especially this morning with another 1/4 of rainfall likely with some slightly higher amounts in some of the heavier showers but no were near the rainfall we experienced yesterday.  Flood watch is still in effect and some flood warnings are in effect for some of our area rivers.   Temperatures today will rise into the 70s as we will have some breaks in the clouds by this afternoon.

Weather will become much more tranquil Friday into the weekend with some sunshine and seasonably mild temperatures, there is a slight chance of an isolated shower Friday and Saturday afternoon but most areas will stay dry.  A somewhat better chance of having a light shower will be on Sunday.

Dry with seasonable temperatures Monday through Wednesday of next week.

 

The forecast: Today – Cloudy with drizzle and showers with a chance of a thunderstorm, partial clearing this afternoon, high in the mid 70s.

Tonight – Partly cloudy, low around 50.

Friday – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 60s.

Saturday – Partly sunny, high in the upper 60s.

Sunday – Partly sunny with a chance of a shower, high in the upper 60s.

Monday – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 60s.

Tuesday – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 60s.

Wednesday – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 60s.

 

Marine Forecast:  Small craft advisory in effect till 5am Friday.  Today – South-southwest wind becoming west gusts to 20 knots, seas 5-9 feet.

Outlook – Sub-advisory levels Friday and Saturday with advisories possible Sunday into Monday..
