Showers and thunderstorms likely today, some showers possible Friday and Saturday!


At daybreak this morning we have light rain with the temperature in the Clifton area around 60 degree with high humidity.   Overnight we had a thunderstorm move through the area a little after 3am giving us a little over a quarter inch of rain.

Showers and some stronger thunderstorms are likely to prevail today and this evening, with clouds and an onshore wind highs will be around the 70 degree mark.

The system will move just offshore on Friday but it will be close enough to cause a chance of afternoon showers on both Friday and Saturday, temperatures will be slightly below normal.

Dry and warmer weather for both Sunday and Memorial Day.

It should stay warm most of next week with a chance of showers Tuesday night into Wednesday.

 

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – Cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely, some storms may be accompanied by gusty winds and small hail, high around 70.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with showers likely with a chance of thunderstorm, low in the upper 50s.

FRIDAY – Mostly cloudy with showers likely in the afternoon with a chance of a thunderstorm, high near 70.

SATURDAY – Partly sunny, chance of an afternoon shower, high in the low 70s.

SUNDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 70s.

MONDAY – Mostly sunny, high near 80.

TUESDAY – Partly sunny, high in the upper 70s, chance of showers at night.

WEDNESDAY – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high in the upper 70s.

 

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Variable winds this morning becoming east-southeast to 10 knots, seas 1 foot.

OUTLOOK – Sub-advisory level condition should continue through Monday.
