Showers still possible both today and Saturday afternoon; Warmer and dry end to the holiday weekend!


At daybreak this morning it is cloudy and humid with temperatures in the Clifton area are in the upper 50s.

Today we should have mostly cloudy skies as a cold front moves offshore, some scattered showers and thunderstorms may develop this afternoon and evening that may produce some small hail in places but no damaging hail is expected as was experienced in parts of Eastern Pennsylvania yesterday.  Temperatures should be a couple of degrees higher than yesterday but humidity levels will come down a bit.

On Saturday most of the area will remain dry but there is still a risk of a scattered afternoon shower or thunderstorm.

Dry and warmer weather for both Sunday and on Memorial Day with highs reaching the low 80s on Monday.

Another cold front will be swinging through the area on Tuesday accompanied by some showers.

Dry and with seasonable temperatures Wednesday and Thursday.

 

THE FORECAST:

TODAY –  Mostly cloudy with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms, some storms may be accompanied by some small hail, high in the low 70s.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, low in the upper 50s.

SATURDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of an afternoon shower, high in the low 70s.

SUNDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 70s.

MEMORIAL DAY – Mostly sunny, high in the low 80s.

TUESDAY – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high in the upper 70s.

WEDNESDAY – Partly sunny, high in the low 70s.

THURSDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 70s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – Northwest wind to 7 knots, seas 1 foot.

OUTLOOK – Below advisory level conditions should continue through Tuesday.
