Very warm and more humid Tuesday; Hot with a chance of strong thunderstorms on Wednesday!


At daybreak this morning in the Clifton area we have mostly cloudy skies, temperatures are in the mid-upper 60s, winds are quite light.

Today will become mostly sunny and the humidity will increase, temperatures may rise close to the 90 degree mark.

Tonight will be muggy and there is a chance of thunderstorms after midnight.

Tomorrow will be the hottest day of the season so far, it will be rather humid too.  Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon and evening.

A cold front will come across our area Thursday morning followed by clearing, it still be warm but the humidity will slowly decrease.

Very pleasant weather for Friday with seasonably warm temperatures and low humidity.

At this point the weekend looks a little more unsettled that the last few weekends with a chance of showers on both days, temperatures will be at or even slightly below normal for this time of year.

Looking at the long range computer models it appears no real heat waves are in sight at least through the first few days of July.

TODAY – Becoming mostly sunny, high in the upper 80s.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight, humid, low around 70.

WEDNESDAY – Partly sunny hot and humid with a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, high in the low 90s.

THURSDAY – Partly sunny, less humid in the afternoon, high in the upper 80s.

FRIDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the low 80s.

SATURDAY – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high in the upper 70s.

SUNDAY – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high near 80.

MONDAY – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the low 80s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – South-southwest wind to 9 knots, seas 1 foot.

OUTLOOK – Sub-advisory level conditions expected through the weekend.
