Much colder today and windy! Snow showers may whiten the ground Tuesday afternoon and evening!

Skies are mostly clear early this Monday morning and temperatures have fallen to the upper 20s here in Clifton to the low 20s in the colder inland areas, a brisk wind gusting above 20 mph is making it feel much colder.

Yesterday we had record high temperatures in the area along with 1.84″ of rainfall and we even had some hail in the afternoon with a brief heavy shower followed by a brilliant double rainbow.

Today will be much colder with readings only rising a couple of degrees from this morning’s lows and with gusty winds it will feel much colder.

On Tuesday a cold front will be crossing the area preceded by some snow showers in the afternoon and evening that may give us a light coating of snow in our area and up to 1-2 inches well inland.

Cold and dry Wednesday and Thursday with moderating temperatures expected on Friday.

The weekend weather will be unsettled as a couple of low pressure areas will be affecting our area giving us a chance of rain or snow.
