Dreary weather to continue today through much of the weekend!


Skies are cloudy early on this Friday morning and there are some light showers in parts of the area, temperatures range from the mid 50s in the Clifton area to around 50 further inland, winds continue to be brisk out of the northeast.

High pressure to our north and low pressure to our south will continue to give our area a brisk northeast flow of cool air along with periods of rain today and tonight..

Cloudy skies should prevail over the weekend with showers continuing, winds will diminish, temperatures will be slightly milder than today.

We may see some sun on Monday but we still will have a chance of showers.

Improving weather Tuesday through Thursday with partly sunny skies and seasonably mild temperatures.

MARINE FORECAST – Gale warnings in effect till 2 a.m. on Saturday morning for northeast winds gusting to 40 knots, seas 8-13 feet.

OUTLOOK – Possible advisories for high seas on Saturday, no advisories expected Saturday night through Monday with possible advisories again on Tuesday.

TROPICS – Hurricane Matthew is now a category 2 storm and is well south of the Dominican republic, present indications show the storm to turn north and cross western Cuba and then into the Bahamas, from there it should turn northeast off the east coast of the United States.

Cloudy with periods of rain today through early next week!


We have cloudy conditions early on this Thursday morning and temperatures range from the upper 50s in the Clifton area to around 50 inland, winds are from the northeast gusting to 20 mph at times.

A persistent blocking pattern with high pressure well offshore and low pressure to our south will cause cloudy skies today through the weekend with periods of rain, the heaviest rain will fall tonight into Friday, temperatures will be quite cool through Saturday rising to near normal on Sunday.

Still a chance of showers on Monday followed by dry conditions for Tuesday and Wednesday with near normal temperatures.

TROPICS – Tropical storm Matthew gave us here in Barbados torrential rain, strong winds and heavy surf yesterday and now is moving into the central Caribbean, some models continue to show the storm moving just off the east coast late next week as a hurricane.

Increasing cloudiness today! Unsettled weather tonight through the weekend!


Skies are mostly clear early this Wednesday morning but there is some patchy fog in some areas, temperatures range from the low 50s in the Clifton area to some low 40s further inland, winds are nearly calm.

Today we will have an increase in clouds as high pressure moves off the New England coast and low pressure approaches from the southwest, light rain or drizzle may make it into our area by tonight.

An upper level through of low pressure just to our west will cause unsettled conditions through the weekend, there will be chances of rain throughout this period with the heaviest rain falling tomorrow night into Friday morning, it will be breezy, daytime temperatures will be below normal but low temperatures will be above normal.

Finally we should see improving conditions earl next week with seasonably mild temperatures.

MARINE FORECAST – TODAY – Small craft advisory will be in effect from 1 p.m. today till 6 a.m. on Thursday for east winds to 30 knots, seas building to 4-6 feet.

OUTLOOK – A Gale watch is issued from 6 a.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. on Friday. Small craft advisories likely Friday night into Saturday, no advisories expected Saturday night into Sunday.

TROPICS – The tropical wave is now about 100 miles east of Barbados and is expected to cross the island this afternoon and possibly become Tropical storm Matthew this afternoon, conditions this morning are mainly just cloudy with some patches of blue skies with very little wind. The computer models are indicating the storm to move up the east coast and possibly affect our area late next week.

Becoming sunny today after morning rain! More unsettled weather tomorrow afternoon through at least Saturday!


Light rain is falling over most of the area early on this Tuesday morning with temperatures milder than the last few mornings ranging from the mid 60s in the Clifton area to around 60 inland, the humidity is high and the winds are light.

The weak front that caused the overnight rain will move offshore, the rain will end this morning and we should see some sunshine by this afternoon, temperatures will be seasonably mild.

Tomorrow will start off dry but low pressure along the front offshore will cause light rain or drizzle in the afternoon.

Unsettled weather will continue Thursday though at least the early part of the weekend giving us periods of rain with the heaviest rain falling on Thursday.

Dry weather should return on Sunday and last into early next week with seasonably mild temperatures.

TROPICAL – While we are vacationing in Barbados a strong tropical system is approaching and will be crossing the island tomorrow, this storm is expected to give us at least tropical storm winds and heavy rain, the storm should become “Matthew” and may actually come up the east coast and intensify into a hurricane by the middle of next week.

Mostly sunny today, rain overnight! Good chance of more showers Wednesday night through Saturday!


Skies are clear early on this Monday morning and it once again it is quite cool with temperatures ranging from near 50 in the Clifton area to the mid 30s further inland, winds are light northerly.

High pressure will move off the coast today giving us a mostly sunny and seasonably cool day.  A frontal system will give us rain tonight into early Tuesday, it won’t be as cool as the last couple of mornings, expect about a half of an inch of rainfall.

After a sunny day on Wednesday waves of low pressure developing along the front offshore will give us a chance of showers Wednesday night through the early part of the weekend, temperatures will be seasonably cool.

TONIGHT – Becoming cloudy with rain after 1 a.m., low in the low 60s.

TUESDAY – Cloudy with rain ending by 8 a.m., becoming mostly sunny in the afternoon, high in the mid 70s.

THURSDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the upper 60s.
