Heatwave today through Tuesday! Showers possible Tuesday night followed by cooler air Wednesday through the end of the week!


SUNDAY  JUNE 11, 2017  5:45 A.M.

We have mostly clear skies early on this Sunday morning and temperatures are quite mild with readings ranging from the low 70s in the Clifton area down to the upper 50s in some inland spots, winds are mainly calm.

A Bermuda high pressure area will give us a southwest flow of hot air with increasing humidity today through Tuesday, each day will have temperatures in the 90s.

A cold front will cross the area Tuesday night possibly accompanied by some showers and thunderstorms.

Cooler temperatures Wednesday through at least the beginning of next weekend, we should be dry Wednesday and Thursday but showers are possible Friday and Saturday as a frontal system  approaches the area.

TONIGHT – Clear, low around 70.

MONDAY – JUN 12 – Sunny, hot and humid, high in the mid 90s.

TUESDAY – JUN 13 –  Mostly sunny, hot and humid with a chance of afternoon and evening shower and thunderstorms, high in the mid 90s.

WEDNESDAY – JUN 14 – Partly sunny and cooler, high near 80.

THURSDAY – JUN 15 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 70s.

FRIDAY – JUN 16 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the low 70s.

SATURDAY – JUN 17 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high near 80.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – South-southwest wind to 13 knots, seas 2 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Monday through the day on Wednesday; possible small craft conditions Wednesday night through Thursday.
