More humid today with a chance of showers and thunderstorms! Quite warm and humid with more thunderstorms late Monday into Tuesday night!


Good morning everyone!

Skies are cloudy and there are some showers and thunderstorms moving through the area early this morning,  temperatures range from the low 70s in the Clifton area down to the mid 60s further inland, winds are mainly calm and the humidity is high as dew point are near 70 degrees.

A weak cold front to our north is causing clouds and thunderstorm activity mainly this morning, we should have some sunshine this afternoon with still a chance of a scattered shower.  Temperatures will be a couple of degrees lower than on Saturday when it hit 92 in Clifton but the humidity will be higher with dew points near 70 degrees.

Monday will be hot and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms at night.

A stronger cold front will give us showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday with some heavy rain likely.

High pressure will build behind the front and will give us pleasantly warm temperatures with comfortable humidity Wednesday through Friday.

Humidity increases next weekend with a chance of more showers.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy early then becoming partly cloudy after midnight, humid, low in the low 70s.

MONDAY – JUL 16 – Mostly sunny, hot and humid, high in the low 90s.  Chance of showers and thunderstorms at night.

TUESDAY – JUL 17 – Cloudy and humid with showers and thunderstorms, some heavy rain likely, high near 90.

WEDNESDAY – JUL 18 – Mostly sunny and less humid, high in the upper 80s.

THURSDAY – JUL 19 – Sunny, high in the mid 80s.

FRIDAY – JUL 20 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid  80s.

SATURDAY – JUL 21 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, more humid, high in the mid 80s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – Southwest winds to 11 knots, seas 2 feet.   Belmar’s ocean temperature is 72 degrees.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected for Monday;  small craft conditions likely on Tuesday; no advisories expected Wednesday and Thursday.

    Finally- Rain !!

    had two thunderstorms roll thru – around 5pm and 9pm… and then a softer rain last night

    a total of 1.5 inches = yeah !!!
